Pillow Pets Now has New Dinosaurs and Unicorns!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Large Pillow Pet on left, small one (with lights, read more below) on your right).
Summer is almost here, and for so many families, that also means school is out so they will be free to travel! Whether going by plane, train, boat or car, these pillows are perfect to bring along. Not only do they offer a sense of comfort from home, but they also allow kids to bring along a buddy, as when they are folded up, these Pillow Pets are also sweet/cute/awesome/fun stuffed animals.

You have probably heard of them. They have been around since 2003, and you can get them in so many different styles. My son just saw a pig on the website and went nuts (because oddly, he's in love with pigs...I blame Minecraft). I do think the Pillow Pet pigs are cute though, especially the slippers and the pig from Moana. There is even a denim Micky Mouse pillow pet, which is one I haven't seen until now and that is really cute too! My favorite Pillow Pet though is the Blue Dinosaur!!

You can fold him up and he is an adorable dino friend, or you can open the fastening strap and he becomes a pillow. Lounge over the top or flip it over for a smooth side. I think that these would be really fun to take to a hotel room, or bring along in the car. Of course, they're awesome for the house too and would become a wonderful addition to any child's bed or bedroom setting.

My granddaughter would hands down love the Colorful Teal Unicorn Pillow Pet. You can personalize these if you want, so I would definitely want to put her name on it. She likes things that are personalized (and so do her parents, especially if said items are going out of the house). It opens to an 18" flat surface, which is the perfect size for her. Because it's a high quality chenille (and BPA-free) material, it's soft to the touch and definitely perfect for snuggling up on to read (one of her favorite things to do). The pink tail on the teal unicorn will make her go wild because those are her, 'most favoritest colors in the world.' What little girl doesn't love a unicorn? :)  There are lots of unicorn types/colors available too, besides this pretty shade of blue. My next in line as a favorite is the Sweet Scented Cotton Candy Unicorn Pillow.

You can get a Sleeptime Lite version of some of these Pillow Pets too. These are fun because they fill your little one's room with a rainbow glow and starry lights. While the other versions can be machine washed (inside of a pillow case), the ones with lights are hand-wash only. These have the ability to turn your child's ceiling into a starry night sky at the touch of a button. The glowing shell is very soothing and this adds such a special touch to the Pillow Pet they are loving on and carrying around with them in the day time.

This is how the shell looks when it's lit up. Cute, right? I love that it's little dino patterns on the top.

And this is how one of the light modes looks when it's dark. It does change colors (there are 3 color modes), and it is very soothing. The light show is run by 3 AAA batteries. It turns off on its own after 20 minutes, in case your little one falls asleep while it's on.

You can get this friendly dinosaur without lites too.

Pillow Pets come in many styles, sizes (5", 11", and 18") and designs. Take a look at the website and see some of your favorite characters (Thomas the Tank, Paw Patrol, Sesame Street, Mickey, Minnie and more!) turned into snuggly pillow characters they can carry around. Pillow Pets items start are reasonably priced, starting at $5.99 and going to $24.99. While you're there, be sure to check out this latest line of dinosaurs and unicorns!! They are sold at retailers nationwide.

Can't travel by spaceship? Hmph!

Gave me a christmas gift idea for the nephews. Shining onto the ceiling would be a hit I think.

My girls used to be so into Pillow Pets. They had like a billion of them. I am sure they would have needed the dinosaur and unicorn to add to their collection. They sound like fun!

Love this! I have a 18 month old great niece who comes to visit me one day a month. This would be perfect for her to use while there and then get to take home with her.

My daughter loved her Pillow Pet. My son was too old to be into them when they debuted.
