There are a few things to consider with all labels.
You want your labels to “pop.” The best way to do that is to use bright colors. Consider the color psychology involved with the various colors. Some are designed to be energetic while others are calming.
Keep Your Message Simple
You need to keep the message on your label simple. If you use too much text, it may be difficult to read. Focus on providing interest so that people know who you are and what you offer. Use more imagery as opposed to verbiage. You may want to simply state your name or provide a website URL for people to visit.
Include Your Branding
Don’t forget to include your branding on all labels that you create. You’re different from the other companies in your industry and it needs to be evident in the labels. Choose your coloring based on your logo. Think about what you offer so that it’s obvious when someone looks at a label that you have.
Consider a Cut Out
Rather than going with a standard square or rectangle, opt to have a cut out label. This will allow you to be more creative with the design. Particularly with your branding, a star or a cloud may be more likely to grab the attention of buyers.
Don’t be afraid to think outside the box when you have labels designed for your business. Once you choose a design, get more printed than you think you need so that they are always readily available.
