Desert Harvest Skin Care Products

Desert Harvest has a product line I have been curious about. The main ingredient in many of their products is aloe, which I find to be a miracle cure for many things. In reading their 'about me' page (I saw in what I am writing about in a very condensed version) that they came up with a process using aloe to help a family member with her Interstitial Cystitis (IC). Up until that time, the family member thought it was okay/something to live with, having to go to the bathroom up to 60 times a day! The Desert Harvest line of Aloe Vera Capsules, made with a process that removes the things that affect you negatively, has been a wonderful invention for that family member and for many others.

While I laud their accomplishments on the capsules (hurrah for helping family, and hurray for helping others too!), what I was interested in, was the skin care line. I don't know if it's because I'm older, or simply due to the fact that I am on my feet all day, every day, but regardless of the shoes I buy, my feet just feel ready to collapse at the end of many a day. They've also gotten rough around the edges, and honestly, I'm not loving it. So, I set out to try the Desert Harvest Foot Cream.

Desert Harvest Foot Cream is scientifically formulated with natural botanicals to make feet feel softer. Enriched with antioxidant vitamins, aloe vera, and coconut, this rich cream nourishes your feet. Used daily, this fast-absorbing formula will soothe, rehydrate, and help repair cracked skin.

The product itself absorbs quickly, but it does leave behind oily residue and until that sinks in, you want to stay put or put socks on so you don't slip and fall, or mess up your carpets. The Desert Harvest Foot Cream doesn't feel anything like lotion. It is soothing and after a few uses, I definitely feel like my feet are softer, most especially in the areas that didn't have any rough patches. I am hoping with continued use, it will help me break through to the smoother feet that were once mine. :)

Desert Harvest does also have hand and body lotion, which is 95% natural (very mild scent and my son has been using it on his elbows which tend to dry out quickly and give him rough spots he hates), and they have an Aloe Vera Gele which I think is fantastic (definitely my favorite of the three)!

Made with 80% pure aloe vera concentrate, Desert Harvest Gelé is a soothing, cold-processed gel formulated to relieve minor skin irritations. It contains all of the anti-inflammatory, pain relieving, and healing properties of the aloe plant in a high concentration. Desert Harvest Gelé contains the most therapeutic levels of aloe vera possible in a 100% Natural topical application and contains No Parabens.

I keep our Aloe Vera Gele in the refrigerator, where the coolness instantly helps soothe bug bites, stings and burns! It only takes a pea-sized amount to give you instant relief and I just love it.

So far, I'm all-in on these products and it is highly likely I will replenish them when they run out (most definitely the gele). It's nice to come across products you like, and hurrah for companies that stick to high quality. I appreciate that about Desert Harvest and am happy to write about their products.

Just a note for those of you with fur babies, they do have a line of pet products for sale as well!

My son uses straight up aloe for acne scars and it is really helping. It would be great for him to try these with the moisturizing combined with the aloe benefits.

It's funny. With a name with 'desert' in it, you would think it would dry you out. But it looks like it does the opposite!

I could use some of these products. My skin is terribly dry right now from the heat and hand washing.

I like drinking aloe for my colitis and it seems to help. I think using it externally on the skin would prove beneficial as well. This sounds like a great line of products, and with summer coming, I could definitely use some smoother looking feet!
