2 Day Special Event: Movie Debut! ICE DRAGON: LEGEND OF THE BLUE DAISIES #IceDragon #flyby

The inspirational animated feature, Ice Dragon: Legend of the Daisies debuts in theaters for a two-day event only on Saturday, March 24th at 12:55 p.m. and Monday, March 26th at 6:30 p.m (all local times). This is a special event showing, meaning the movie is only going to be playing for those two days, in select theaters across the USA.

Based on a short story by Canadian director and producer Bruce Stacey ("God Rocks!," "Journey to Christmas"), this faith-based adventure features the voice of Rheal Ress, Justin Debe and Bill Bray.

It is the first of a planned trilogy that will follow the adventures of Melody, a gifted young dreamer, and her fiesty friend Lief, as they work together to save their village from a menacing dragon. I played the video trailer for my 10-year-old and he was excited. We'll be taking my niece along too, and she's just 2. I think both children will be captivated, despite the age difference.

In addition to the film, audiences will also get to see a live-action short film (I love the shorts!) and an exclusive music video. Fathom Events, Chelsea Road Productions and Tricord Media present this special event to you, that will be airing in over 700 select movie theaters across the USA. Please note that this is not a typical wide-release film, but rather a 2-time only showing in select theaters. Run time is 1 hour, 30 minutes.

That movie was written and produced by someone who lives in my city. There was a big write-up about him in the paper. The story was originally written for his young adopted daughter.

Looks good and they should play at more cinemas to reach a wider audience!

The closest showing to me is in Chicago. That does give me an excuse to drive in so I can see a show and get pizza ;)

What an interesting event. It's not often you only have a chance to see a movie for two days. Sounds like a fun way to spend time with you kids.
