My Son & His Sweetheart Got to See Deana Martin Live!

So...I was supposed to go to this incredible Deana Martin show, but circumstances dictated otherwise and I sent one of my grown sons with his sweetheart in my place. I was a little worried it might not be their kind of show (and I really, really wanted to see it!). I asked my son if he liked it...

He said the show was intimate and wonderful, with a live orchestra behind Deana Martin that played their heart out. In addition, they had a fantastic dinner (that they ended up paying $200 for, not knowing it wasn't included in the show) Whoops. Honestly, I didn't know there was even going to be a meal. There was no mention of it. They said it was delicious though, so all is well that ends well, and they said that the show was not to be missed!

The room seated around 20-ish couples, I think they said, and Ms. Martin wowed the crowd. She sang all of the old favorites, which the kids did enjoy (both of them having parents/grandparents who have played this music) and even brought people up with her to sing. She gave a tribute to her father, the late Dean Martin, and...

she posed for pics with the people in the room. If you get a chance to see this tour while it's running, my son and his sweetheart, highly recommend it. It must be great if the 20-something crowd is touting it, though to be honest, I'm not surprised. Great music is always great music. :)

Visit the Deana Martin website, to find the tour dates or pick up her latest album. You can also follow her on Facebook and/or Instagram.

$200 for a meal was a bit of an oops lol she sure seems to be down to earth. Very true, good music is good music no matter the age.

Too bad you missed the show, but I am glad your son and his lady were able to go instead. I don't know how I feel about $200 for a meal, but since she put on a memorable show, I supposed that more than makes up for it :)

That's quite a surprise and a high price for a meal you didn't expect! I hope it was worth it!

Wow that's a little shady that they had to pay out for the meal, but I am glad they had a good time at the show!
