Our Fotor Online Photo Editor Makes Greeting Card Pictures Perfect!

The online photo editor at Fotor.com is going to make Christmas a whole lot better for us, because now I know the holiday greeting cards we send out are going to have the coolest photos on them!! I have some great ideas in mind. One is for my nephew. He sent me a picture of his little girl a couple of years ago. It's an awesome photo of the baby in her grandma's arms, but it was so dark... I loved it so much though, that I kept it anyway. I knew someday an opportunity to fix that picture would arrive. That time is now here!

ORIGINAL with dark shadows. I kept it waiting to find a good photo editor.
See how adorable and sweet she looks in the picture??  You can see why I absolutely love it. You can also see that it's way too dark, and baby has a big shadow on part of her face. Fortunately, you can use all kinds of filters and effects through Fotor to change your pictures, so I knew there was hope to improve the overall look of this one!

One of the photo effects I tried was the 'news print' option. This is where you can play around with the color and make different parts of the photo have their original color and others seem black and white. On the left I made sweet apple dumpling (the baby) have color and nothing else. On the right, I colored in the background. These looked a little better, but still not what I was looking for entirely. Think of the options though, that you would have with this kind of ability to edit the colors in your photos!! I'm still giddy with excitement when I think about it, because I am a huge photo-loving geek (and proud of it). ;)

Of course then when I started looking through pictures I came across more that I wanted to use. That led me over to the many photo collage options available on the website, of which there are plenty! I'm still playing...and haven't finished the picture I want to put on the Christmas Card for my nephew, but I'm getting there... and do you see in the bottom, right corner? There's my photo edit of baby girl that I started with in this post...the shadow is now so much better. I may black & white some of the other photos and add just a bit of color...or do that to all of them. I'll probably play some more with the stickers too. You can see I added (2) at the bottom, middle. I love that they have such a huge variety of stickers. There are plenty to choose from too, that are specifically related to holidays. OR I may just start from scratch, 'cuz I'm not at all bothered like that... the most important thing to do is create a photo for a greeting card that I know the recipient will love for years to come.

All in all, there are so many photo design options available on the Fotor website that I know I'm going to be able to tweak and create until the photo I want to make is just right. This site is a goldmine for making the photo edits you've always wanted (and some you didn't even know you wanted until you came across them). I hope you'll give Fotor a chance this holiday season, to help you make the most of your photos. I'm guessing if you head on over, you will fall in love with the site too. What better gift to give, then the one that incorporates a photo? None (if you ask me)! Happy Holiday creating to you and to me!

This is a great option for those that don't know how to use other photo editing softwares. I use Photoshop, but not everyone knows how to use it.

Digital editing can really improve pictures that are less than ideal.

Wow, sure sounds like the place to go to get the photo exactly how you want indeed. She sure looks like a happy camper there too.

What a cute way to dress up the holiday cards. I like the idea of adding more than one photo to the mix.

I love the heart shaped collages and how you can remove the color from only certain areas of a photo. As a fellow blogger this will be super helpful to me. Thank you!

I've never heard of this editor but it seems simple enough to use. It's a great idea if people aren't willing to spend a little extra for professionals to do it. Love saving money during the holidays or in general!

I should look into this. I usually use Photoshop, but there are other things out there.

I will check out Fotor, Thanks!

It sounds like a great application for starting to learn a little about photo editing. More advanced programs like Photoshop are hard to learn (I'm still learning after 4 years!) so this would be a great option in the meantime.

My wife loves to make holiday cards for my kids' teachers. I think she will like to use this online tool to do her cards this year.
