Classic FAO Schwarz Motorized Train from Hammacher Schlemmer |
What's a tree without a train? Not as fun, not as fun at all, if you ask my youngest son that is... so what do we do when big brother comes to visit? We take out the train that just arrived on our doorstep and get busy assembling it around the Christmas Tree (one of two trees we have up this year)!!
You know if the box on your doorstep says "Hammacher Schlemmer" it's going to be a good day. This online store is jampacked with everything you could possibly want to decorate for most any holiday, and it's perfect for this time of year when we go all out to decorate for Christmas! Their slogan is "Offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected for 169 years." Take a look at their site and you'll see why that's true. I could literally spend all day looking at their items and shopping. They have such surprising, wonderful things!!
Once the track was assembled and in place, a simple adjustment or two was made and this little beauty was on its way. The engine lets out an authentic locomotive sound, and the working headlight lights the way. These are the kind of decorations that help make Christmas even more memorable for the kids, and the adults too.
If you have any track left over, you simply store it in the box, sweep up any pieces of foam that came out when you opened the box (I had to add that part, lol) and hurrah! you've got yourself a Christmas Train (and a new family tradition)!
This is just one of many wonderful items available at Hammacher Schlemmer. Visit the website to learn more. You can also like them on Facebook, Pinterest and/or Twitter.
