The Purple Cow Magnetic Travel Games

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Today we're supposed to be on a family trip that includes Disney World. Some of us, including me, got the flu. I'm recovering today, but still know I wouldn't have been able to make that long drive, much less walk around all day long. Big bummer too, because my 2nd oldest changed work days with someone to be able to go (and of course, he's not sick, so he would have been able to go, yikes!). We'll reschedule but this weekend would have been perfect because with the hurricane days (that we're still on) all sports, work and school things have been cancelled (at least in my house). My daughter is out of college for the storm too, and now that she's grown, like her two older brothers, it's even harder to find dates we can all agree on, so being sick right now is not just a drag, it's a BIG drag.

HAD we been in the car for a trip today though, you can bet we'd have some games packed and ready to go. The portable Magnetic Games from The Purple Cow are always a good bet. They're small enough to slip in the back pocket of the car seats, and extremely portable. Everyone likes a good game of Tic Tac Toe or 4 in a Row. Even the grown kids will play if they're in the back seat with little man (who's not really so little anymore).

The easy to open and close tin has a game on each side, each of which have magnetic pieces that sturdily stay put and easily come off when you want them to, included.

You do have to punch the pieces out the first time you use them, but that's no big deal, especially if you're using them in the car on a long ride, where things to do are always welcome.

The instructions are printed on the tin, so they won't get lost. The games are fast and easy to play, but take care to keep these out of reach of small children. We really enjoy our game, and I highly recommend keeping one tucked away in the car for travel. Note: They do have small pieces that could pose as a choking hazard, so be sure to keep out of reach of the little-little ones! The Purple Cow makes several kinds of magnetic travel games that store in their own tins, including this one, Hangman, and Checkers. All can be found on Amazon for a reasonable price.

  1. I love this travel game. It's so hard to keep kids entertained during a road trip. So many fun things these days.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  4. I'm sorry you had to miss out on your scheduled Disney trip :( I hope everyone is feeling better soon. This does look like the perfect way to pass the time on long car rides.

  5. My daughter has a little magnetic toy that she likes to take in the car. What a great idea for a travel game to keep the kiddos busy!
