Celebrate National Video Games Day at Chuck E Cheese!

Tomorrow night we'll be prepping my SIL's house for Hurricane Irma and really hoping she (the hurricane, not my SIL) doesn't stop by to visit. Our place is being prepped by the association that runs the apartments. I hope they do a good job. My biggest worry right now is flooding because even if it rains hard, the parking lot doesn't drain well where we live. I hope that stays my biggest worry, if you know what I mean.

My oldest son took time off work and drove my granddaughter to Georgia yesterday. Just making sure he's got her out of the storm. Her mom is a social worker, so she has to stay here and help with the shelters. We're staying, and heading to a shelter if it's going to be a direct hit. Today though...we're just enjoying the time off work and school that they gave us, and we're heading to a movie and then to Chuck E. Cheese!! I'll miss my grandbaby along, it's one of her favorite places to go, but I know she's better off where she's at...and I'm sure we'll have a good time just the same.

Chuck E' Cheese’s always hits the fun spot, and next week they're also having a par-tay at a handful of locations to help celebrate National Video Games Day at a handful of locations. The date: Tuesday, September 12. Don't forget to mark your calendars, and check to see if your location is participating!

Oh dear I've seen the news and we were just in HK where the typhoons were pretty bad too. Praying for all your safety!

I hope Irma doesn't hit hard and you don't flood.

Good she is safe there. Hopefully you all make it unscathed and it turns out to miss everyone. Enjoy the day, been a while since I played a video game.

I didn't know they needed a day to celebrate video games.

I too hope you're in a safe area. I worry about all those affected by these storms. Be safe, my friend. ☺

Oh darn. Nothing in TN. LOL! I guess I'll just have to miss it. ;)

Irma and then Jose... I'm just not in the mood for guests (of the wind variety, anyway). ;)

I saw some of your Hong Kong pictures on Instagram. I'd love to visit there. Glad you weren't ill-affected by the typhoons!

Thanks, Alex. Trying to decide on the best place to park my car has been the biggest plague today. Trees everywhere... which is nice, usually!

I'm glad she's in Georgia too. She's in good hands there too, she's got a lot of people around her who love her oodles and tons there. :)

Oh yes, Binky. Any reason to celebrate at Chuck E Cheese is sound and valid in our eyes. ;) :)

Oh Rosey, I know you are preparing to stay as safe as possible.
I'll be praying for you. *HUGS*
And this Chuck E Cheese thing sounds fun!

My kids would have loved to celebrate National Video Game Day when they were younger. Please, please be safe!

Hi Rosey - I'm glad your granddaughter is safe further away - and now I can only wish all in the path of Irma a safe few days - take care - cheers Hilary

Thanks, Sandee. Irma's definitely a pretty big lady!! Let's hope she goes out to sea to rest (permanently).

I have a friend here who just built a house in TN. Her move-in date wasn't for a bit yet, but guess where they went anyway. ;)

I know you know storms!! And yes, Chuck E Cheese is always fun. :)

Thank you for the well wishes. My boys would still love to participate in National Video Game Day, lol, and two of them are grown. ;)

Thank you, Susan. You know we appreciate it. We're definitely praying too.

I'm so glad my grandbaby is in another state too. Thank you for the well wishes!

How scary! I do wish you were out of there. It sounds pretty serious. I guess if you have the time off you may as well make the most of it. We have a Chuck E Cheese, but we've never gone with the boys. We've always gone to a place called, The Amazing Pizza Machine. We should check out Chuck E Cheese sometime.

Sounds like an awesome deal. My girls love Chuck E. Cheese's too. Thinking of you with the storm and saying prayers that you are all OK through it now.

I hope you are snug and safe and that your parking space stays dry. I know somewhat of your fears as I lived for 25 years in Melbourne and every year, it was the same scares. Now, here in Montana we have earthquakes that toss us out of bed at night. Where is the ideal piece of quiet land?????
Strongly thinking of you.

Hope all goes smoothly.
My boys used to love chuck e cheese when they were younger.

Thank goodness we have time to prepare and evacuate. I can't imagine the old days when people had no clue these things were coming.

mail4rosey said...

I bet your girls do love Chuck E Cheese. It's def. a great place to take the kids. :) Thanks for the well wishes on the storm.

mail4rosey said...

Hi Belva! I love Florida so much that I'd rather be faced w/evacuation a couple of times a year rather than live anywhere else. Like you said, there's not really a perfect destination free of natural disaster or some kind of inclement weather (I do know I HATE ice and snow). Thank you for the kind words and thoughts.

mail4rosey said...

They don't still love it???? My oldest/grown kids still get a kick out of going if they're home while we're visiting :) ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Rosey.
