A Full Serving of Veggies in your Pasta? Yes Please and Thank You Birds Eye!

On the left, an ice experiment my son is doing...
on the right, dinner in 3.5 Minutes Flat! That's a welcome addition to meal time!
Most of you know we're knee-deep in hurricane preparations over here. Actually, we're all done now, and just waiting for the storm (which thankfully has pretty much turned away from us at this point, though we still have winds up to 89 mph predicted later today). The thing is, there is NOTHING open, and I do mean nothing. No gas stations, no grocery stores, no convenience stores, no restaurants. It's like a ghost town out there, and I know this because we just drove around looking for someplace to eat, that wouldn't require me having to cook. We're tired, we want to relax, but I do still want the kids to eat right. Enter Birds Eye Vegetable Pastas!

These hassle-free, delicious pastas have a whole serving of vegetables in each serving. Talk about being able to swap in the good stuff!! Veggies that look and taste like pasta? Yeah, that's a win, win for my kids every single time.

Birds Eye Veggie Made Pastas come in four different flavors: Spinach Lentil Pasta in Alfredo Sauce, Zucchini Lentil Pasta Original, Zucchini Lentil Pasta in Cheddar Sauce and Zucchini Lentil Pasta in Marinara. They are also fast to prepare. Lighting fast!! Simply place the frozen bag in the microwave, picture side down (follow the directions on your bag),

Microwave for 3 and a half minutes (again, follow the directions on your bag, it's different for microwave wattage, but still very fast for everyone) and in no time flat, you've got a fast dish the kids will eat and love that is also giving them a whole serving of vegetables, with every serving they eat. We added some Buffalo Mozzarella and Cracked Pepper to ours. Add a small salad and a piece of crusty bread, and it made for a great, fast dinner. Now we can get around to relaxing...believe me when I say we're overdue.

  6. As a senior I don't do much cooking anymore. I have saw these in the freezer section but was not sure I would like. Hey if a kid will eat then it must be pretty good.
