This hardbook book has 64 pages and is definitely one that will grow with your child. Whether it's learning about the queen bee...
or finding out about their nesting habits...
this book serves to inform. It goes further than that though too, and really gets you thinking about how ALL things of nature serve a purpose (or many purposes), including of course, the bee.
The pictures are colorful and fun for the little ones, and the content is engaging enough for most any child (adults will even surely learn a thing or two!).
This is a great gift idea for my granddaughter. She LOVES to read, and she enjoys having knowledge about everyday things. Some of the things she says are definitely beyond her years (love my smart little busy bee). ;)
There are also projects included that you could make with a child, or if they are older, that they could make on their own! This book costs just $12.95 and is a welcome addition to most any reading collection. It is recommended for children ages 8-12 (but I think it reaches far below and beyond those guidelines). You can learn more by visiting Quarto Knows. One lucky winner will also get a copy to call their own. US entrants only.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great giveaway. Recently one day at work my coworkers and I all ordered wildflower seeds from a site giving them away free to help bring back the honeybees. I don't want bees hanging out with me on my porch but I do totally support their importance and preserving their species.
ReplyDeleteI love their books. I see some gem and mineral books my son would. He is really into that right now
ReplyDeleteWhat a great book to learn about the importance bees play in our lives. I couldn't figure out why my zucchini didn't grow this year, but after research, found that it was due to lack of pollinating insects. Goes to show, we need to save our bees if we want to keep eating!
