I know the typical use for something like the Cameron's Multi-Use LED Lantern would be camping. In the state of Florida though, we keep things like this around for the storms. A lot of times our lights will be out for days when a big one goes through, such as Tropical Storm Emily threatened to do to us recently. Thankfully she passed us by, but if she'd have come, I had this lantern all batteried up and ready to go. ;)
My favorite thing about it, is that is also has a removable flashlight, reading light and magnifying glass. So no matter how bright/dim of a light you need for roaming a campground, reading in your tent, looking for something you dropped, or using during a power outage, this multi-use lantern is going to fit your every need. One other thing to note, all four panels will sync together in lighting when they are all place. So if you need a super bright light, it's got you covered there too.
It does run on 3 D batteries, so you'll want to keep those on hand. It's pretty handy to have, you know there's always going to be a time that pops up when you'll be glad it's around. I know we're happy to have one in the house for the just in case.
