Community® Coffee Company has kicked off its Annual Tailgate Traditions Sweepstakes!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Community® Coffee always hits the spot!
Coffee is one of my most favorite things. I know I am not alone on this...there is just something awesome about kicking back with a warm (or iced) cup of coffee and all out relaxing for a minute or two. It's grounding and enables me to get back into the groove of the day (or to start the day) in a motivated way. I have a question for you though...

Do you store your coffee in the freezer?

I never used to, but I started doing it about a year ago when I saw my daughter-in-law doing it (I was curious) and it does seem to taste fresher to me if I'm brewing a pot. This week, however, I had a friend over who emphatically stated that you're not supposed to put your coffee in the freezer. So now I'm on a mission to find out if this practice is okay or not, and more importantly if it's not...then why? Now please note, I only do this with my ground coffee, not my K-cups (those I keep on the counter next to the Keurig, for convenience).

In any case, when it comes to coffee time one of my favorite brands to buy is Community® Coffee. It is rich, delicious and always hits the spot. Even better if you purchase it now? You might win some pretty awesome prizes!

Now through September look for bags and boxes of Community® Coffee that feature on-pack game codes that you can enter  online at TailgateTraditions.com, for a chance to win great prizes.
Prizes include an all-expense paid trip to Minneapolis to see the Super Bowl, outdoor grills, flat screen TVs, Southwest gift cards and more! Regardless of if you put your coffee in the freezer or not, those are good prizes. ;)  I do enter (and sometimes win) contests. I will definitely be putting a code or two in for this one. Whether I win or not, it's still a good excuse to buy more Community® Coffee, and that's always a win for me. :)

Good luck to all who enter!

  1. Prizes are always a nice perk. I know some who put it in the freezer. Not sure if it is good or not, but hey, everything else can go in the freezer.

  4. I love coffee too. I don't freeze my coffee (ground or beans) but I do keep it in the refrigerator. I was told at a young age that it helped keep it fresher.

  5. I have never stored store my coffee in the freezer and I have never heard of it either. Since I use an coffee maker that uses whole beans then I can't really test it.

  17. I hope you win so you can write about it. I've seen people refrigerate their coffee to preserve its age but I doubt it matters much.

  19. Huh...I've never heard of coffee in the freezer before. We keep ours on the counter but it's not around long-enough to lose its freshness. haha We are huge coffee drinkers in our house!
