How to Stop Your Baldness from Overwhelming You

Disclosure: I have a guest author in the house today.

Some people embrace their look when they are losing or have lost their hair, and that confidence alone makes them sexy. Think Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, Billy Zane, Sean Connery, The Rock... I could go on. For those who do not embrace losing their hair so readily, there are options.

Are you going bald? Well, prevention is better than cure. Trying to make your hair grow back is a lot harder than preventing it from falling. You can slow that receding hairline down and perhaps even bring it to a halt if you follow certain steps. These are approved by hair care experts around the world and can naturally get rid of your hair loss problem.

Meditate and Find Your Happy Place
Men who are on the verge of going bald are going to see the problem more often and in greater volumes when they are stressed out. This is because stress causes your body to release a special hormone that results in a hormone imbalance through the rest of your body. While this doesn’t mean anything in men, who don’t have balding as a genetic condition, if you’re at risk of baldness this could make it far worse. The best way to reduce the hair loss is to start reducing how much stress you are under. You can do this by meditating or calming yourself down throughout the day. Sports and exercises like yoga can help you get your mind under control.

Take a Hair Regrowth Medication
Rogaine doesn’t claim to be much more than a treatment for male pattern baldness. Taking it won’t help you grow the hair you have lost back, but it will let you prevent additional hair from falling off your head. There is also a slight chance that the hair that fell off recently will make a return. Rogaine is applied topically and can be quite useful in improving the flow of blood to your hair cells. These hair cells, also called follicles, need constant nutrition to grow your hair healthy and strong.

Get Yourself Laser Treatment
In addition to the many medications out there, laser therapy is quickly rising to the top as an alternative form of treatment for baldness. It is approved by the FDA, which means you can buy it legally in the USA. You can get a laser device for your home or as a helmet, which can look infinitely cooler. A reduction in hair loss is almost guaranteed in the majority of people who go through this type of treatment. The exact reasoning behind this is unknown. You should remember that the hair that grows back will not be the same quality as the locks you had before.

Sunbathe for Hair Loss Prevention
This is probably a joke to you by now, but the vitamin D you get from exposure to sunlight can boost the function of your hair cells. Vitamin D has been shown in numerous studies to boost the quality of your hair. You just need to spend some time outside. If this is impossible consider taking vitamin D3 supplements with your meals.

Preventing the loss of hair is a lot easier than trying to grow it back. The choice you make will determine how effective the treatment will be. Take the time to consult with a doctor before you make any drastic decisions, though.

  3. Some guys can handle this look and some not so much. I hate the comb over guys and the cheap toupees. They would be better off just going with the hair loss. I can see why many guys looks for options.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  7. Ah, the fear of the unknown for so many people. I know that baldness is tough for some, but I do feel that trying to prolong the inevitable makes a person look a little bit fake. Kind of like dyeing gray hair (for me)

  11. Mostly, this is one of the hardest thing to solve especially in men. Try a natural remedy, such as an essential oil massage, hot oil treatment, or a green tea rinse. Include more lean proteins in your diet. Take care of the hair that you have.

Nice topic! If you’re balding, it’s a lot harder to grow all your hair back than it is to stop your follicles from disappearing in the first place. Slow the erosion of your hairline with these five dermatologist-approved strategies.

  16. Jason was pretty upset when he stared losing his hair, but he's since embraced it. He shaves the remainder down really short and is even thinking about getting it super bald like Vin Diesel.
