$5 Buys a Lot of Cute at Kohls: #KohlsCares Now has Dr. Suess!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

The Moose is loose (Thidwick, the big-hearted moose that is), and he's hanging out with my son, and The Cat in the Hat! $5 buys a whole lotta cute right now ar Kohl's. Head on over to your local Kohl's store, or browse the lastest $5 additions online from the #KohlsCares line: in either case, when you make a purchase, 100% of the net profit ALWAYS goes towards benefitting children's initiatives nationwide.

Of course you can always pick up the accompanying books for $5 a piece too, and voila', you've created a instantly perfect gift for any child. I got these for a Valentine's Day and Birthday gift for two little loves in my life. They're irresistible, well-made and of course, they're Dr. Suess characters, so what's not to love?! A Cat in the Hat stuffie for $5??? I'm still shaking my head in disbelief, and seriously, the quality on these items are always top-of-the-line!

There are other characters and items available in the Kohl's Cares Spring Collection too, including others from the beloved author, Dr. Suess. Books and toys featured in the Kohl’s Cares spring collection include:
  • The Cat in the Hat bilingual book and Cat in the Hat toy
  • The Sneetches book and Sneetch toy
  • Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose book and Thidwick toy
  • Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now book and Marvin toy
  • And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street book and Giraffe toy
  • Color with Mom coloring book
  • 101 Coolest Science Experiments book
  • Happy Little Rabbit bundle (perfect for Easter!!)

That 101 Coolest Science Experiments book, also available in this Kohl's Cares line, is pretty downright nifty! We have been working with a little one here to learn to wash her hands. It seems irrelevant to her, and she's having a hard time grasping how germs can be present when they are invisible. One of the experiments in the book shows the kids how to use glitter as the germs. You coat your hand in glue, then dip it in glitter. The first experiment is to wash it with just water. Not many of the 'germs' come off. You can also open a door, touch a refrigerator, touch your nose, things like that, to show the littles just how easily germs are spread. Wash thoroughly with soap and water though, and see those icky germs disappear down the sink drain. It is the perfect way to illustrate an invisible topic to the kids.

There are other fun things to do, like learning to make secret mirror messages,

instructions on how to create rainbow water,

and a trick to watch your pulse. This book is just ckock full of fun science experiments the kids will love, and they will be learning things like crazy too. If you show them hands-on how to do things through experiments, those are things they are going to remember!

Kohl's never fails to deliver with their amazing Kohl's Cares line. So remember, 100% of the net profits are going to benefit children with a need, and whomever you gift these items too is going to be instantly in love. It's a win all the way around.

Be sure to check out The Happy Little Rabbit duo! This one is perfect for Easter!!

Head on into Kohl's or visit online, to pick up your Kohl's Cares items today. At just $5 a piece, you can't go wrong. This line is available through early April, so they'd make wonderful Easter gift ideas too!

  7. I always liked Kohl's Care products. They really are fun. Once they had Skippy Jon Jones. I so wanted a few of their things, but they sold out of the main character, and never got any back. Dr. Seuss is such a classic. I love that schools usually have a day dedicated to him.
