The Belly Art Project

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Would you get your belly painted? Warren Buffet did it... just saying. ;) Keep scrolling to the bottom for proof if you don't believe me. :)  Why? Because it's for an excellent cause! 100% of the  Belly Art Project's author proceeds benefit Every Mother Counts, an agency that works together to help ensure childbirth and pregancy are safe for women everywhere.

It's a project that has really taken off, and some celebrities (Alyssa Milano's photo shoot turned out awesome!) are getting in on it as well!

Milla Jovovich did it!
How fun that you can be a part of something so beneficial to others, that is also a unique photo opp., and being done for a good cause.

There are a lot of creative ways to paint a belly, so I have found out from reading the book... What a fun keepsake to have around for your kids to see later, and when they're grown. :) It's definitely an easy way to let them see how happy you were when they were coming around. ;)

The person who invented Spanx, Sara Blakely, is the one who came up with the Belly Art Project idea. Every time I see her in an article, it looks like she's having a blast. I think she just likes what she does, and a big hurrah for it too. :)

Coming up with ideas for the photo shoots for the book must have been a blast. So many things I wouldn't have thought of were in it. Some made me laugh, some made me say, 'aww,' and some were just downright clever.

And as I noted at the beginning of the post, even Warren Buffet got in on this one. He's not a mother, but he is a huge influence wherever he goes, and I've heard a genuinely nice guy, so I'm sure he was more than welcome as an exception to the mama rule. :)

Of course, a watermelon came into play...that's the first thing I thought of when I saw they were painting bellies. It's easy to stage, easy to paint, and it's kind of cute. :) You can learn more by visiting the Belly Art Project website.

So the question begs to be answered...

Would you paint your belly for a good cause?
