Blue Man for Valentine's Day?

What to give for Valentine's Day? I say a pair of tickets to the Blue Man Group! Oh my goodness, the show is fun! It's about an hour and 45 minutes of participatory (oh yeah, they're all over the audience) madness that makes you laugh, clap, (sometimes groan...loudly) and cheer! This would be a great Valentine's Day present for your true love, for your kids, or even just for a night out with the girls (or guys) if you're not doing the Valentine's Day thing.

Little man getting interactive with the paintings outside of the building.
Oh how he wanted to go on stage, lol!
We recently attended a show in Orlando where they play regularly at their own facility and it was just as fantastic as their traveling show we saw a year or so ago. My youngest was excited from the get-go and just enthralled the whole time we were there. We're talking mouth open, laughing out loud, eyes never leaving the show, enthralled. :)

The excitement builds before you even walk into the building. First off you pass the amazing Hard Rock Cafe hotel (location anyone? man, they got a great set-up!) that is blasting happy music. Then you go to the walkway with larger-than-life vertical billboards lining the way. In the background? Universal Studios. Yeah, it's a good trip to take when you're in or around Orlando. My son loved the The Blue Man Group every bit as much as he loved riding on the rollercoasters in the park.

There were a lot of scenes in the show to enjoy but the splattering colors is my fave. That and the looks the men give to each other and to people in the audience. The actors themselves don't say a word during the show (though a man on a speaker talks often) but they still get their points and emotions across, and they do so very well. ;) In the upper corners of the show, men are playing instruments. They are great too, and cool to look at with the way they do the lighting behind them and the masks. Talk about a fun job to have, I'd love to go to work each and every day if I could be a drummer for The Blue Man Group (though considering my drumming skills are nil, they might not like to have me ;) ).

There was a meet and greet held after the show (such a cool feature to have!) and little man got in the photo opp. of  a lifetime. ;) This and the blue glow-in-the-dark ball he bought after the show (with his own money, I might add) made for a really fantabulous way to wrap up the night.

We had an amazing time watching the Blue Man Group perform and I wish I could buy tickets for everyone I know and love to go. It was just that fun. So...if you're in the Orlando area, or Blue Man is touring near you, pick up some tickets to offer for Valentine's Day. It could just be the best gift your s.o. has ever received. Beats chocolate and flowers for me any day (and I like chocolates and flowers!).

You can learn more and buy your tickets now by visiting the website.
You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.
Have you been to a Blue Man Group show?
Is this the kind of thing you would consider gifting for Valentine's Day?
