Pigskin Rapture: Four Days in the Life of Texas Football

If you've got a Texas football fan in the family, you're going to want to see this post. Pigskin Rapture, Four Days in the Life of Texas Football is written by Mac Engel and full of great photos from Ron Jenkins (what a job, right?!), and when it comes to football in that state, this book covers it all!

Broken down into four quarters (cute, right?), the book is going to reiterate some things you already know, introduce you to some new things and give you a whole lot of great pictures to feast your eyes upon too.

If there's anything I know about Texas sports' fans, it's that they are really diehard, especially when it comes to their football. Give them this book for Christmas, and you're probably going to hear some hootin' and hollerin' (in the good way).

My first introduction to a hardcore Texas fan was in college. I had an Economics teacher who talked about her beloved Longhorns more than she did the Wall Street Journal, which was the paper we were using to track our mock stocks and do our major class project. No kidding. She was so passionate it's still what I remember most about that class, and it was many years ago now.

Pigskin Rapture isn't goiing to just give you a surface look at today's Texas football teams, it's really going to take you back through the history too.

And of course no book on Texas football would be complete without a chapter on the Dallas Cowboys...

their cheerleaders, definitely the most famous in the league,

and Jerry Jones. Love him or hate him, you have to admit he's always right there in the mix. This is a great book to pick up for the Cowboys Lover or Texas Football Lover in your life. Released in 2016, this hardcover book with 240 pages is approximately 9" x 11", the perfect size to keep on your coffee table.

You can pick this up in stores nationwide, or on Amazon.
