I got a tote today. Inside of it were all kinds of wonderful goodies. The two common themes between them? They're all sold at Target and they're all products that are #madetomatter. What does that mean? Well, Target put a challenge out there to brands...seeing who they could find that meets at least one of the following five criteria: reduced sugat, dietary restrictions, clean lable, less packaging and Closed Loop. Thankfully a lot of brands qualify, and let's all hope a lot more follow suit. You can learn more about the brands and the initiative by visiting HERE.
Now on to what was in the bag!! First and foremost, my most favorite mascara in the entire world was included. This is the Pacifica Dream Big Lash Extending 7-in-1 Mascara. It's amazing, and as with any Pacifica product, it is 100% vegan & 100% cruelty-free.
A magic wand lets you fake it till you make it. Amplify your lashes instantly with all natural plant fibers that build & build & build.
They also sent some buy one/get one free coupons to try Suja Juice at Target. I love to try new drinks and was definitely glad to see this in the bag. Has anyone tried this brand yet? If so, I'd love to hear your take on it.
There were even a couple of items for baby included:
I hadn't heard of the first, but I've wanted to try the second brand for quite awhile now. I was not disappointed, both of these did a great job with quality.
Tom's of Maine is a brand I haven't tried (yet!), my daughter-in-law swears by them though, and I trust her opinion.
You can't go back to school without proper pampering. Well, you could, but you shouldn't! Yesto Coconut has made these great paper masks that I am oh so excited to try. I gave one to my good friend, and I'm taking the other. I see a girl's night coming up. Oh yes, I do. :)
Shea Moisture is a company I've heard of before, but one I've never used. This shampoo and conditioner duo is one I'm now happy to have in the house!
The limited edition Method Gel Hand Soap- pumpkin clove smells oh so good! And with it's seasonal scent and Rebecca Atwood design, it's perfect to display in your home for Fall!
One product in the tote that I'm very excited to try is Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Vinegar Gel No-Rinse Cleaner. I guess I'm a little behind the loop with this one because everyone who has been in my home and seen it has expressed instant delight. "Oh my gosh, I looooooove that stuff!" seems to be the resounding theme. So I looked it up online and well, it's the same thing there...everyone who has used Mrs. Meyer's seems to fall instantly in love with it, so I hope that I do too. I'm certainly excited to try!
And that was that... the end of the products. What a generous lot of things to receive!! I'm grateful and I want to extend a big thank you to Target for creating such an initiative! An even bigger hurrah to the brands who have already and are continuting to step up and make products that organic, sustainable and environmentally/health-conscious. Let's hope it's contagious and many, many other brands decide to follow the trend. Wouldn't it be great to see this trend become the norm?!?!?
