Pop-UP New York, London and Paris Too!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

My son likes to come across books that depict places he has been or would like to go, and if it's a pop-up book, well...even better. This trio of books was appealing to him (you can purchase them singularly at Lonely Planet), but they are also a tad bit too young for him, so we gave Pop-Up London! to my granddaughter (her other grandmother whom she knows very well is a dual citizen both there and in the USA). Pop-Up New York! I will give to my niece. The Pop-Up Paris! book we're keeping, simply because my son says he wants to keep it in his book collection.

They're small books, for small hands, and the pop-ups are nice and sturdy. That's a big deal in my house where flimsy things don't last for long. I think these would be a great gift idea or 'just because' gift. And if you're one of those people (like me), it'd be a great stocking stuffer gift idea too. They'd also be great in a back-to-school basket for the teachers. At just under $10 (they're actually $6.99 if you order one now), the price is definitely right!

I appreciate the fun facts sprinkled throughout these little pop-up books, and it's fun to reiterate to the kids, popular places in the world where they may have been, or could go in the future. It's never too early to introduce travel, whether it is in person, or through books!

You can learn more by visiting the Lonely Planet website. You can also follow along on Facebook and/or Twitter.

  3. Pop-up books are fun! I used to think they were not cool because the pop-ups get ripped by kids. I have some serious pop-up books, and I read them with my kids. The book you have is pretty fun. He's old enough that he's not going to pull, and push on things that will break the book.
