1. You just can't go wrong with a diaper cake. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and can be personalized by theme, name, color, gender and more. They always get the ooh's and ahh's at the baby showers, and they're perfect to take to a hospital room too, when you're visiting a wee one for the first time. The best thing about these though, is that they help cut costs for the new parents. Diapers are expensive, and this is a handy way to give them a whole bunch of 'em, in a fun and very cute way.
2. Gift Baskets, with a high quality, reusable basket is the second choice on my list. You have a lot of flexibility with a gift basket, and you can arrange them to be oh so many different ways of cute. You can put in items you know baby is going to need, or you can even splurge a little bit and put in something a little extravagant. These are always welcome gifts and the basket portion is great too, because once the gift is open, mom or dad can use it to hold baby items, maybe even in the nursery. Packaging on these is simple too, simply add a pretty bow. ;)
Shopping for babies it is fun. We have a baby shower to go to here pretty soon too. I'm getting excited, and I'm scoping out my options to try and find just the right selection.
Do you have any preferences for baby gift ideas when it's your turn to go shopping?
