Letting the reader know that everyone is different, and with good reason helps them to embrace their unique gifts and talents and focus far less on their 'can'ts' or 'don't haves.' Everyone is created in their own special way and that is a very good thing. This is such a fun book to add to your child's library. It would definitely make a great gift idea too.
My son and I enjoyed reading this book, and though I took some pictures of that (so you could see some of the really cute illustrations that are on the inside), I can't post them because we're on a surprise mini-vacation out of town! :) I did want to get a post up today though because there is a giveaway. It only lasts a little over a week, so be sure to get your entries in while you're here! This book is truly a delight!
A comical picture book about the unique qualities of various creatures and how they were planned to be just that way by a loving, wise Creator
Would a worm go on a walk, if you could lead him down the street?
Would he wear his tiny tennies, if he had four worm-sized feet?
Would a worm go on a walk?
No. No matter how he tries, worms weren’t made for walking
and they don’t like exercise.
So begins this humorous and imaginative picture book that introduces children to the idea that animals are uniquely created by a loving and wise God. Would a Worm Go on a Walk?, with its colorful, comical illustrations, is a fresh, fun way to teach young children that God created all things very good. He gave all the animals, and children, too, wonderful qualities and unique strengths. Children will giggle over the ridiculous scenarios presented, and they will come away with the knowledge that we all are loved and special. Ages 4-7.
