Chances are high you've taken a selfie or two in the last few years. I used to laugh at my kids for doing it, and roll my eyes at the selfies all over social media, but you know what...they've become the norm and people of every age are doing it all of the time. 'Selfie' is a standard vocabulary word for today's generation, and once my grandbaby came along, I got in on the selfie action too, at least every now and again. She likes it when Grandma Rosey holds up the camera or phone and we take a little selfie together, which means I like it too. ;) Did you know though, that there is a new kind of 'selfe' in town (spelled differently on purpose), and it's one that is going to allow you to save big time!!
Homeselfe.com is the program I am referring to, and they have a system in place that is is easy to use, fun to do and it's going to save you some money too. That's a winning combo, right? All you have to do is walk around your house, and take some pictures of it (home selfies, or selfe's as the case may be). Then you will send them in to the company, to be analyzed. Once they are finished assessing what you've sent in, they will generate a report for you. On it you will find great tips, ways and ideas personalized to you, that might help you to be able to lower your utility costs! That is wonderful in and of itself, but it gets better because the report is free! Why? Because Homeselfe is a company that cares. If everyone is doing their part to be as energy efficient as possible, it's going to create a domino effect that is collectively good for us all.
Everyone likes to save money, and with all of the things we have to plug in today, things can get a bit energy-use crazy. I'm looking around the room I'm in right now and I see two things charging, and in a minute, before I head off to work, I'll plug in this laptop I'm on to have it charging too. If you think of everything you charge in just one week's time... and then multiply that by every house on your block that's doing the same... or think even bigger to every house nationally and beyond, that might be doing the same, it definitely adds up. If we all work together to help reduce energy use, it's going to be beneficial to everyone. Hurrah to Homeselfe for grabbing that concept and running with it, coming up with a valid way they can help.
