The Christopher Chronicles 2.0 : One of My Favorite Authors has Published Again!

The Christopher Chronicles 2.0 is in the house!

Available in soft cover or e-reader format!

Kenya Gallion Johnson has published again, and a big hurrah for it too! This is an author who has been an instant favorite of mine since the very first time I stumbled across her blog. Her writing is engaging, honest, and always very real, and her books are funny!

Christopher is the author's son. He is a typical, well-adjusted, well-loved young man who says the darndest things. As my grandfather would say, "out of the mouth of babes!"  As Johnson's Facebook friends would say, "Christopherisms." Having a son of my own around the same age, I find his anecdotes, one-liners and trains of thought to be very funny because they're often things that are similar to what I'm hearing over here. :)

I've loved all three of the books in this series, but 2.0 is my favorite of them all. It is flawless in execution and style, and the cover is cute too. ;)  This is a book for everyone to read. My 8-year-old was the first to read it. In fact, when it showed up in our mailbox, my ever curious little one asked, 'What's this about?'

"It's from a mom who writes down funny things her son says and puts them together in a book," I told him.

"That's such a good idea!!" was what I heard from him right before he absconded with the goods (i.e. the book) to devour it from front to back in one setting. He chuckled, laughed out loud, and read his favorite lines to me while he was reading...in turn causing us both to laugh out loud.

It's good to see your kids enjoying books, but I want to tell you, this book is for adults (and the kids loving it is the cherry on top). It's truly transgenerational. Your grandmother will love it, your mother will love it, you will love it! Don't take my word for it though, head on over to Amazon and pick up a copy of your own. After you read it, leave it on your coffee table for a bit and you will see, every single person who sits down beside it will pick it  up and start to read... and they won't put it down any time soon either. That's the best kind of book, and guess where mine is? If you guessed, "on the coffee table," then you would be correct. :)

Get your copy here (Amazon). It is available in e-book or softcover.

What a cute idea for a book - I always tell my friends, you need to write that down, your kid will appreciate that! My parents have a journal with my goofy phrases I said growing up and I treasure it so much. This book sounds adorable!

Add me to the list of people who love books that can be read by anyone. I am in the middle of a very depressing book, so this would be a very welcome change!
