This is actually two Mixbooks identical in content, but different in format.
On the left is the front of the traditional hardcover book (glossy)
& the back of the Premium Lay Flat book (satin) is picured on the right.
On the left is the back of the traditional book
and the right is the front of the Premium Lay Flat book.
My traditional hardcover book did not have lay flat pages, but I still love it!
The Premium Lay Flat Book does not have a crease in the middle.
Traditional Hard Cover on the Left
Premium Lay Flat on the Right
The Premium Lay Flat book is thicker (it's on the right in the photo above). The pages in both are a great quality, but the traditional is glossy and thinner than the satin, much sturdier quality of paper you get with the Premium Lay Flat.
Mixbook lets you choose the number of photos,
and the sizes of them too.
Both styles of books allow you to mix and match photos, photo sizes and even allow you to choose shapes for your frames. The photo above is the traditional hard cover photo book.
You can make full-sized photos if you want to fill a page with a certain image.
The Premium Lay Flat also allows you to mix and match, and choose photo sizes. What most impressed me with both of them was the quality of the pictures. No matter how big I blew them up (and you can see that some I made the size of a whole page), they were as clear as the originals.
Mixbook allows you to choose frame sizes and shapes for your photos too,
and you can add text anywhere you would like it.
Again with the traditional, you can see I have a heart shape photo on the left with text and a full-sized photo on the right with no text.
Premium Lay Flat Book...again, no crease and super clear photo quality
I loved both of my books. If I had never seen the Premium Lay Flat book I would have thought my traditional was all of that and a bag of chips. Well, never mind, I do think that anyway...but I must say, the premium quality lives up to its description. It is by far, hands down, the nicest photo book I have ever seen, and it makes a beautiful keepsake for my son and his fiancé. I think this is a book they will treasure for many years to come. If you have a gift you'd like to give someone that stands out as special, or you have an event or something important you'd like to turn into a keepsake, Mixbook is definitely the way to go.
