Valentine's Day for Under SIX BUCKS? Yep with Columbia Empire Farms Smooches!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

If you're looking for a small bag of big appreciation, nothing says I love you like deliciously rich and creamy Chocolate Nut Toffee, packaged inside of "Cupid," Lovebird" and "Cardinal" smooches (candies). These little gems are made by Columbia Empire Farms, a place where everything is made and packaged fresh on the 900 acres of land they call home, and believe me when I say---- there's a lot of yummy deliciousness packed into these little 4 oz. bags.

My mom loves toffee and 3 of my 4 kids are big fans too. So...for me, one of each was in order. They're all the same candy inside, but the outside of the bag is different. My mom loves Cardinals (her favorite bird), so that one will go to her. We HAD to try some for the review (can't write about the flavor if we don't try the product). ;) And that leaves one left. The big kids are all grown, or almost grown, so they can share a bag.  I know they're going to be delighted.

This is what the candies look like. One of the kids opened the bag for me, and I have to say, the bag definitely got opened, lolol!! I cut one piece of candy in half, and you can see the thick strip of toffee scrumptiously packed between the two layers (one thick, one thin) of rich chocolate.

There's a 'Best by' date on the bottom, something all chocolate should have, don't you think? We really liked these little candies. They're just the kind of perfect treat you look for when you want to spoil someone happy. Ringing in at just under $6 a bag, they won't hurt your pocketbook either.

You can learn more about these and other great products by visiting Columbia Empire Farms. You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.

  13. These look really good and I love the packaging. And yes, I think all chocolate should have an expiration date. It can taste really bad after awhile.

  19. The name is so cute! And yes, I do think all chocolate should have the best by date on them. I've had some icky chalky chocolate in the past because it got old before I opened it. Nasty little surprise!
