Punch Buggy, No Punch Backs!

Please help me solve this family dilemma. I say any punch buggy is fair game. Someone else in the family says no go...that it has to be an old Volkswagon Beetle to qualify. If the latter were the case, I'd never get to one-up the kids. ;)

What say you?

  1. When the punch buggy game first came about they were everywhere. You could really play a great game. In that tradition it is only fair that you include modern day punch buggies.

  2. We only play if it's the old ones. The new ones don't count.

  3. The cat says all is fair game, you just have to be quick before they say it isn't lol

  4. I think the problem here lies in the fact that this game was created back in the day when the old style was the only style. If they still made them in the old style... well, no problem. But they don't. IMO games must evolve with the times. To that end, any punch buggy works.

However, I also say that so long as everyone agrees on the rules the game is fair. I know there are (other) games that I play with different rules among different groups. I have my own preferences, but am willing to play with the group rules at whatever table I'm sitting.

  5. The old ones count and the new ones don't. I still think you should continue the game with the old classics.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  8. Punch buggy? You have lost me. I don't think we have them. Or had them. Or I knew/know nothing about them.

  9. Gosh, I totally forgot about this one. However, I never heard of the punch buggy. Ours was "Slug Bug" no punch backs. I have not seen one of the old VW bugs in a long time where I live.

  10. You're the boss of the family, so you make the rules.

  11. If it new bug, or old bug it's fair game. A bug is a bug.

  12. Rosey, I think both are fair game... the old ones are harder and harder to come by... I always wanted to own a lime green bug... xox

  17. It's amazing how long these vehicles have been around for. My Aunt had one in Spain when I was a little girl.
