My oldest son has a guitar. He also gave a guitar to my
youngest son. It’s a really nice guitar too, but because little man is not so
little, the guitar is full-sized, which means it’s big and it’s heavy. My
oldest son’s daughter is 2-yrs.-old. She likes to attempt to play that guitar
that is bigger and heavier than she is, and though she does a mean rendition of
“Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,’ I’m scared she’s going to get hurt. Enter this
sweet little red guitar sold at http://www.BonjourPetit.com
This guitar is 20 ½” long and it is light as can be. It is designed for children ages 3+, and perfect for little hands. The guitar has six child-friendly strings that produce a very mild sound (almost like rubber bands on a box, remember how fun that was to do back in the day?), and my granddaughter LOVES it. You can purchase the red one shown here, or check out the site to see the other designs.
My granddaughter got right to work on playing this one as
soon as it came out of the box. The guitar is fully assembled, but you might have
to tighten a string or two when you first open it. And if you noticed the
band-aid on sweet baby girl’s head..that is from her recent bout at the doctor’s
office where she had to get (gasp!) stitches. Thankfully she’s okay and she
handled her bout w/the doctor like a trooper! This guitar was going to be a Christmas
surprise, but you know, a boo-boo of such proportions is no small thing and
little girlie girl definitely deserved a little treat. Thank goodness for grandmas. ;) And thank goodness for sweet baby girlies too!
