Ever since I read Charlotte's Web I've had a soft spot for spiders. I don't like them on me much, but if I come across one in the way, I'll find a way to move it versus just killing it. lol Although, that's a super big one...and if there was more than one...eek...it's a little bit scary! lol
I would have screamed a scream that would be fit for the best of horror movies and ran! On the other hand I never kill a living thing and believe that they have a great purpose on our earth.
The worst is when you don't see them and actually walk through the web! Yikes! I just saw a different kind running across the wall in the bathroom this morning. I'm not happy about that!
Wow .. is it actually that Big or is it the Camera? Either way that's one scary looking guy. I'm not scared of them .. as long as they are not poisonous
Ugh...can't stand them. They've been spinning their webs in the bushes behind my house. There's something about Fall that brings them out and about. I just want them to go away ;)
I am not scared of spiders, it just startles me when I see it. I am more scared of lizards and their cousins (frogs, salamanders, toads, etc.). I scream bloody murder at the sight of them!
Hi Rosey - they are prevalent at the moment aren't they. I was walking back last night from the cinema and three workers were outside their shop (after 10pm) and wouldn't go back in .. because something was troubling them. It was a spider! I sorted it out for them ... I've no idea what they were going to do ... could have been there all night?! Cheers Hilary
I think spiders were meant to exist to get rid of other more harmful bugs. It just startles me when I see them crawling. Other than that, I just leave them alone to do their job.
I would have turned back too if I saw a spider like that... I have not gone out on my back deck as there are quite a few... once the Fall really sets in I will be able to go out there again... I hope... Have a really great day Rosey xox
One long isolated metal boardwalk (mangrove walk). I knew if they were stretching all the way across like that so far in, it was likely going to get worse as I went. I turned back, happily. ;)
I like its legs. How cool. I had gigantic spiders in Savannah, GA (in my apartment) when I lived there. I was so afraid only because I didn't have health insurance for a small window of time. YIKES!
I am not afraid of spiders, but I'm not full enough to play with them either. A couple of weeks ago, my sister and I were walking and kept running into the spiderwebs
I would have done the same thing. I'll leave you alone, but you need to leave me alone too.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
Wow that is a big scary spider! I hate spiders and I would turn around too!
ReplyDeleteI find them intriguing beasts - but don't like their webs in my face.
ReplyDeleteOh I would have turned around also. Not big on spiders, especially when there are more than one.
ReplyDeleteAck!! I would have to Ned into a ninja trying to get the webs off of me. What kind of spider is that? We don't have any that look like that here!
ReplyDeletehaha scared of the poor itsy bitsy spider? geez.
ReplyDeleteCool shot!
ReplyDeleteOmg. I hate spiders! My house gets some black widows, The first sight of a web i call my exterminator lol I have him on speed dial!

ReplyDeleteThat spider is neither itsy or bitsy. I would go full nija on it if I saw it at my house. YIKES!
ReplyDeleteOoh I have never seen one quite like that and we get a lot of spiders around here!
ReplyDeleteThat sends shivers down my spine! I would have turned around too!
ReplyDeleteI would have turned around and RAN screaming after seeing just one of those. You are braver than I.
ReplyDeleteCreepy! These are Banana Spiders, we get them in our backyard all the time! They give a nasty sting if they bite!
ReplyDeleteIf I saw that near me, fire would be involved. EEEKKK!
ReplyDeleteI would find a stick!
ReplyDeleteI don't like spiders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're preparing for lovebug season?
ReplyDeleteor jitterbug season, hehehe :) This was on an isolated mangrove boardwalk. I don't think anyone's been on it in a very long time. ;)
DeleteI would have screamed a scream that would be fit for the best of horror movies and ran! On the other hand I never kill a living thing and believe that they have a great purpose on our earth.
ReplyDeleteNope. Nope nope nope. I don't like spiders. Nope. I wouldn't have even taken the picture.
ReplyDeleteI bet he's just practicing for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteMy husband would have been right there with you turning around! That is quite the spider!
ReplyDeleteAHH!!! I am so terrifed of spiders!!! Gets a show and kill it!!
ReplyDeleteSpiders are so beautiful. They are amazing as well. They terrify me and fascinate me at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe worst is when you don't see them and actually walk through the web! Yikes! I just saw a different kind running across the wall in the bathroom this morning. I'm not happy about that!

ReplyDeleteNot a big fan of spiders either - don't hate them but the love isn;t great. :(
ReplyDeleteWhat a great capture. Spiders freak me out, but I think I could carry taking a photo of it.
ReplyDeleteI'd be turning around at the first sight of one lol. It's freaky!
ReplyDeleteYikes! We have 2 biggies outside of our house! I kind of love them!
ReplyDeleteUgh...can't stand them. They've been spinning their webs in the bushes behind my house. There's something about Fall that brings them out and about. I just want them to go away ;)
ReplyDeleteYikes that's a serious spider right there, one I wouldn't want to be messing with either!
ReplyDeleteOH heck no! Run, and run as fast as you can!
ReplyDeleteI would scream and run at seeing this one. I hate spiders.
ReplyDeleteI am not scared of spiders, it just startles me when I see it. I am more scared of lizards and their cousins (frogs, salamanders, toads, etc.). I scream bloody murder at the sight of them!
ReplyDeleteI love animals but hate SPIDER and BUGS :(((( please stay away from my house .. We found at least 10 baby spiders today :(
ReplyDeleteHi Rosey - they are prevalent at the moment aren't they. I was walking back last night from the cinema and three workers were outside their shop (after 10pm) and wouldn't go back in .. because something was troubling them. It was a spider! ReplyDeleteI hate spiders because I am scared to the spiders. i would run so past when i see it.
ReplyDeleteSpiders give me the heebie jeebies! Awesome capture, btw!
ReplyDeleteWow that is a big spider! My girls would flip out if they saw that! :)
ReplyDeleteI think spiders were meant to exist to get rid of other more harmful bugs. It just startles me when I see them crawling. Other than that, I just leave them alone to do their job.
ReplyDeleteNot a Brown Recluse but I'd hate to bump into it, just the same. You soften it with the phrase, Itsy Bitsy Spider. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! However, I hate spiders. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's a biggie. I am not a fan of spiders, but my nephew is. He would actually look for them and take lots and lots of photos.
ReplyDeleteI would have turned back too if I saw a spider like that... I have not gone out on my back deck as there are quite a few... once the Fall really sets in I will be able to go out there again... I hope... Have a really great day Rosey xox
ReplyDeleteYikes! I've never seen one that big other than in a glass box at the zoo!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't just walk around them?
ReplyDeleteOne long isolated metal boardwalk (mangrove walk). I knew if they were stretching all the way across like that so far in, it was likely going to get worse as I went. I turned back, happily. ;)
DeleteOh my goodness! We actually have beautiful spiders down here in south Louisiana. There's one called a banana spider and it is huge, but beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI like its legs. How cool. I had gigantic spiders in Savannah, GA (in my apartment) when I lived there. I was so afraid only because I didn't have health insurance for a small window of time. YIKES!
ReplyDeleteSpiders don't bug me as much as snakes and mice. But my older brother? flips when he sees a spider. That one is HUGE. - jeanine
ReplyDeleteThat is the WORST feeling ever!
ReplyDeleteI just got shivers!!! This is NOT a picture that a person with arachnophobia wants to look at first thing in the morning!!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a big spider! And it has some crazy hairy legs! lol!
ReplyDeleteI do NOT like to get this close to spiders. Good thing you turned back! :)
ReplyDeleteI actually laughed after reading the title. You know why? I always sing the song, 'itsy bitsy spider' to my husband before going to bed for fun. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like my husband. He is not fnd of spiders at all.
ReplyDeleteThat is both terrifying and beautiful. I hope this picture was taken through a window haha
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to tangle with that spider either. That's a creepy photo of him (has to be male) just hanging there. lol
ReplyDeleteOddly I like spiders. I think they;re amazing creatures and so pretty. Just not up close. LOL
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that it was spider season. I've 4 giant spiders already. Thank goodness that they were outdoors.
ReplyDeleteWow very cool shot!
ReplyDeleteThat's a huge spider. I would walk the other way.
ReplyDeleteYuck. I don't like spiders and snakes.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness I hate spiders. It is spider season and I am scared of them getting in the house. Great capture though.
ReplyDeleteKinda creepy, but I love how this photo turned out. :)
ReplyDeleteOur front porch and awning is literally turning into arachnophobia. I found a spider web stretching like 2 feet from our car to our lamp post!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture, but I still hate spiders, nonetheless! I almost lost my right hand because of one. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm so not a spider fan. I just go the other direction whenever I see one.
ReplyDeleteFor certain I would have undoubtedly done the same!
ReplyDeleteOh yes I'd turn back too , unless I have a blowtorch!
ReplyDeleteLOL I posted a pic of a spider on Instagram the other day and the consensus is it's time to burn down my house and start over.
ReplyDeleteWoah! That is one spider that I would not want to encounter. Pretty scary!
ReplyDeleteAs long as they don't bother me, I don't get freaked out by spiders.
ReplyDeleteEek, hello Halloween horrors. That's one scary spider
ReplyDeleteHaha, good call! Running into webs while running is always so awful. lol I would have turned back, too.
ReplyDeleteI am not afraid of spiders, but I'm not full enough to play with them either. A couple of weeks ago, my sister and I were walking and kept running into the spiderwebs
ReplyDeleteI would have been right there with you meaving. Spiders are not something I am fond of. Lol
ReplyDeleteYikes, huge and scary. We found one this morning in our umbrella! Kids were screaming!
