#YouToldMe Mother’s Day Contest!! $50,000 Prize, from The Mrs. #MrsMotherDay

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I'm loving the Mrs. Right now. I'm also loving this great contest they've got up and running for the moms! Keep reading, chances are HUGE ($50,000 huge!) that you're going to love this one too.

The All-Female Band The Mrs. Continues Their Mission To Uplift and Empower Women Everywhere With The Words of Wisdom “#YouToldMe Mother's Day” Contest! One Lucky Participants Will Win $50,000!

Hot on the heels of the release of their latest single "You Told Me," which debuted at a New York City Mother’s Day gala celebration benefitting Dress for Success and hosted by Jenny McCarthy, the all-female rock band The Mrs. continues to honor moms everywhere. The Mrs. is launching the #YouToldMe Mother’s Day Contest to give participants across the U.S. a chance to win $50,000 for sharing their mother's life lessons and words of wisdom. One lucky winner will be selected on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2015.

Recently, The Mrs. commissioned a survey of 5,000 mothers, and found that nearly 95% of them feel inadequate – and 90% agree that feeling like they’re not “enough” is a universal pattern among mothers. The Mrs. is on a mission to help change that! The band hopes to continue to draw attention to the incredible work moms do in caring for their families every day by having entrants write about their mother's words of wisdom. The Mrs. #YouToldMe Mother’s Day contest is designed to draw attention to the value of all the little things moms do and say every single day.

"We all have worries, fears, and times when we feel we are not enough,” said The Mrs. founder and drummer, Andra Liemandt. “We want to empower women to believe they are enough just as they are.”

As part of their growing female empowerment movement and to help support the financial security of women, The Mrs. is aligning with Rising Tide Capital, a non-profit organization that will provide financial advisement to the contest recipient.

My Thoughts

For me it wasn't necessarily my mom who shared insights with me, but definitely it was my gram. My mom's mom. She was the one who nurtured, loved, and cared for me like her own, and even though I didn't live with her, we lived close by and I was at her house every single chance I got, all the way through my teens. When I moved out of state, it was the thought of visiting my grandmother that drove me back to visit. Always delighted to see me, and later my children, she was and is the big inspiration of my life. The one and only person before my children who loved me unconditionally...the one who made me think I was enough.

Who Is The Mrs.?

The Mrs. became known across the country for their powerful message of self-acceptance. Their first single “Enough” inspired the #ImEnough movement that is resonating with women from all walks of life, empowering them to love themselves just as they are. To bring this message to life, they created a talking “magic mirror” and have been successfully convincing women everywhere that they are, indeed, Enough!

For more information, visit www.themrs.com. The Mrs. “You Told Me” song is available on iTunes; video is available on The Mrs. YouTube Channel. Stay connected with The Mrs. after the contest is over by following them on Facebook and Twitter.

Disclosures: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., age 21 or older. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received. Sweepstakes ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on May 10th, 2015. This blog is not accepting entries; you must go to http://themrs.com/youtoldme/ to enter this contest. For full official rules go to TheMrs.com. 4. I love my mom dearly, and I always looked to her advice. Sometimes, though, I just wanted her to be wrong once. Just once. =D

  5. Wow, 50,000 bucks would sure be nice. Would be grandmother's "go pound sand up your ***" count as wise advice? lol

  6. My mom is great, but I was also very close to my grandma (her mom). I lived with her my senior year of college. When I was little I'd spend the night with her and grandpa a lot! She'd take me out to eat and to the mall lol.

  13. I never knew my mother's mother, and my father's mother was sort of mean. She didn't like my mother and that reflected down to all five of my mother's chidlren. My mother has never been one to show love much, so I was pretty much on my own for advice until I got married. I can only hope that the relationships I have with my own daughters can be loving and close, and that they will have wise words of advice from me to look back on.

  20. I love the sentiment behind this contest and the idea of recognizing those women in our lives who were so crucial to who we are now. I lost my mom in 2009 and miss her so much everyday. Her unconditional love and support has made me into the Mom and woman I am today and #ImEnough, and then some. :)

  41. Is it bad that I've never heard of these ladies? I feel like a dork! As for mothers day, lemme think...both my grandma's are dead, and they were terrible granny's, my mother was the spawn of the devil and I haven't spoken to her in over eight years. My MIL hates me, so...yeah...

But luckily I have an aunt who's been like a mother to me for almost 10 years...I guess I'm good :D

  50. I love the meaning behind this, supporting other women should be more and more instead of judging. There seems to be too much of that lately. This made me think of my mom. She was an amazingly strong woman who I can only hope to be just like.

  51. My mom always gave me a lot of very important life lessons that I didn't pay much attention to at the time, but have come back to me as an adult. She said a lot of things about being a mom that matter to me now, but I didn't get as a teenager. There is so much positive and reassuring advice we can share with our kids that they can reflect on in years to come.

  58. My Mom's my first-ever teacher and I will always take with me all the life lessons she's taught me. I would love to join this one, but too bad, I'm not eligible. Lol. Such a huge prize is at stake ... so generous!

  59. My mom is my best friend. She taught me to trust my intuition.

  60. As a mom of six, I can say, I have had days where I felt I was not enough. Most of those feelings came while raising the first four. I was a single mom during that time, but I always did the best I could. I found that with these last two, I accept a lot more of my shortcomings than I did with the older four. I've found that a lot of what I used to worry over isn't as important as I thought it was back then. I've found that the most important thing is love. It will cover a multitude of mistakes!

    ReplyDelete
  61. What an awesome story! I was really close with my grandmother growing up, she lived to be 99 years old. An awesome contest to be involved in.

    ReplyDelete
