ScarAway: Doctor Formulated Solution for Scars

Disclosure: I received a sample product in exchange for the post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I've got a small mole growing high on the left cheek of my face. Though people don't seem to notice it (or at least I'm hoping they don't), to me it feels like a witch's wart. I'll spare you a picture...it's not that big really, but it is really annoying. I want it gone. That means a trip to the Dermatologist is definitely in my very near future. I'm going to ask to have it tested and removed. If all goes as planned, they should be able to zap it right off in their office, but I know too that it's going to leave a little scar.

Acts like a second layer of skin,
providing 24-hour efficacy.

Enter ScarAway scar repair gel. This little beauty of a tube says it's a doctor formulated, clinical strength solution for scars. Self-drying and made of 100% silicone, it is designed to form a protective layer over the scar that is clear and odorless. While applied it will soften and flatten raised scars (old or new).

The rating on the side of the box is good, with 80% of patients giving it high marks for effectiveness. You should see results with consistent use in 2-3 weeks. The recommended use time for full effectiveness is 60-90 days.

We'll see how it works. Quite honestly, I'm excited about it and hoping it works like a charm.

You can learn more about ScarAway by visiting their website. You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.

Have you heard of it? Used it? Have you found something effective for scars of your own?

  4. I've got several scars I could test this on, lol! One on my lip, one on my hand, and a few on my feet. I'm not so worried about the feet, but the one on my hand makes me very self-conscious.

  6. I fell on my head when I was two or three and the scar was visible for most of my life. It's finally fading but probably only because other lines are appearing! I wish I had had this as a child.

  12. Interesting product discovery.. I have some scars from a few years back which are quite noticeable although thankfully they have become lighter with time. I wonder if this product is more effective on 'fresher' scars as opposed to older ones?

  34. This sounds pretty cool - I think most of us have a few scars here and there that we'd like to get rid of, for me it's a small between my lower lip and chin from a small scuffle I got in back in the day - -but that's a story for another time lol
