Free Ground Beef? What's not to love??

What's your pain point with dinner? Ours is time. On nights when we have to make it to soccer practice, swimming lessons or Cub Scouts, and dad has just gotten home but we've got to go-go-go, we need a meal, and we need it quick. In addition to that, I don't want to come back home to any dirty dishes, not-a-one, so I need something that's going to be fast to make, but also that's going to take just one pan to make. Enter Hamburger Helper.

My husband has had a love for Hamburger Helper long before he had a love for me. It's something he brought with him into the marriage. ;) Every once in awhile he'll call home from work and say, 'How about Hamburger Helper tonight for dinner?' I laugh at him every time, but I make sure to keep a box or two in the cupboard for those days I know are going to come.

Now that our busy season for the kiddos has started too (with the warm weather comes an abundance of out-of-house events and obligations), putting together a hot meal fast can happen with Hamburger Helper.

Instructions are simple. You just brown your ground beef, and then add the milk and water...

Don't forget to tear off and save your Box Top, if you collect them for your local school. ;)

When that's finished, you'll stir in the macaroni and seasoning (included in the box).

Continue to stir well and then allow the mixture to come to a boil. Once it does, you'll turn it down to simmer, and allow it to remain that way for the amount of time indicated on the box.

In no time at all, you'll wind up with a fast/hot meal that didn't cost much at all to put together. Economical, fast, and the family loves it. It's a great way to get something hearty in their tummies so they're not hungry wherever it is we have to go.
