MPOW Solar Motion Sensor Light with #Giveaway

Disclosure: We received a sample product to help facilitate the review. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

We have an alarm system installed, and we have big floodlights that come on in the back and on the sides of the house. The only lights out front, however, must be intentionally turned on with an interior switch. Now with our new MPow Solar Motion Sensor Light, that is no longer the case. This little light really is quite handy, and one of the best things about it... it was easy to install (no wiring required).

The MPOW Solar Powered Wireless LED Light is easy to install!

Look carefully at the picture above and you will see a little silver key (just under and to the right of the brand name). That is what you use to activate the light, so it's protecting the internal battery from turning on during shipping. Great feature, right? There are also two pillar hinge and screws included, and those are used for light placement. And that's it. Really...that's it! Once the light is screwed into place, it instantly goes to work.

The light has three modes...OFF, dim light, and high light. It is recommended to install the light facing south. During the day, the light should be able to reach it easily without shelter or glass hindering it. It will soak the light up that it receives during daylight, to run when it is dark. The light will run on auto dim at night, moving to bright light when anything moving comes close to it (within 3 meters). In the daytime, it will automatically turn itself off. If for some reason the battery does not receive enough light to charge, the directions note that the light will begin to blink (we have not had that happen, but I appreciate that it would).

The MPOW Solar Powered Wireless LED Light is waterproof IP64, heatproof, and durable. It detects motion within 10 feet at a 120-degree angle, and it offers up to 12 hours lighting time after one day of sunlight charging (be sure to charge it fully before first use).

The dim light (seen above) runs when it's dark until it senses motion (within 2 meters).
When motion is detected the bright light will turn on.

The light is really just a little thing, but it does emit a nice amount of light. This would not be good for the expanse we have in the back of our home, but it's just perfect for lighting up the front of our house, just outside of the front door, when motion is detected. We have snow on the ground now, and this morning deer tracks were coming right up to the door. I suppose the deer will be in for a surprise this evening if they opt to return. ;)

    1. Solar motion powered lights really on rechargeable batteries to store the power and the batteries lose their ability to store a charge after a certain time period.
Also, the photovoltaic panel requires an unobstructed view of the sun in order to charge the batteries.
This means the unit must be kept clean and the batteries changed from time to time in order to ensure facilities.
