Dream Team Pets Help Your Child Sleep Through the Night!

Disclosure: I received a product to help facilitate the review. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

The Dream Team Pets, created with the assistance of a pediatrician, were designed to help children teach themselves independence through sleep training. The kit comes with a pet of your choice. You can choose from the Playful Puppy, the Magical Cat, or the Mighty Lion. They are 10" tall, which is perfect for snuggling up in little arms.

The Dream Team Pets were designed with the help of a pediatrician
to help your child learn to sleep peacefully through the night.

Each pet comes with a small, just-right-for-little-hands hardcover book called "How to Train Your Pet," gold star stickers, and a Certificate of Training. Each night when your animal does the great job of helping your child sleep tight, your child can reward the pet by putting a gold star on the certificate. The beauty of the story is that you can design the idea around the pets the way you choose. That means if your child is having a particular issue with something...say, for example they are scared of the lights out, you can design the pet to protect them for that particular issue. You could say the pet is there to help them sleep through the night with just their nightlight on; that he/she is there for their protection; there to keep them company so they don't have to get out of bed at night, or what have you. This is a wonderful way to create a routine that helps your child gain that extra boost of confidence he or she may need to get a good night's sleep.

One of the best things about this set up, to me, is that if the child doesn't make it through a full night's sleep without getting up, or getting out of bed, the responsibility goes to the pet. The pet is (gently) told they can't get a star for the day...but maybe they'll earn one the next time. It's all part of the
'training process' that your child is teaching his or her pet.

The Dream Team Pets come with a pet of choice,
a certificate of training, a book, and gold stars.

Children like toys that allow for ongoing interaction, and they enjoy most any chance they get to actively use their imaginations! Even more so, they love a nice, cuddly, soft and very cute pet. Dream Team Pets offer all of the above. My son loves to snuggle with his pet, and he's given him the name 'Pup Cup,' which is also now written in the book, and on the certificate.

The Dream Team Pets are extremely huggable.

Each night when he gets ready for bed, his Dream Team Pet and his book come along with him. I read the book, he tucks his little pet in beside him, and in the morning, after a good night's sleep, he awards his pet with a gold star on his certificate (because they slept soundly together through the night). My son likes the routine, and he likes the 'responsibility' of taking care of his pet, when in reality, it is the pet who will be aiding your child, if your child needs some extra reassurance for staying in bed, going to sleep in his/her own room, or some other similar type of issue.

  8. Love the concept for these, but wish a little more care went into the design and quality of the plush characters. They look a little cheap to me. The picture of your of your son cuddling his pup is to die for, though!

  35. We need two! Our 3.5 and 2.5 year olds are still waking up at night, wanting to come to our bed. The 3.5 year old doesn't do it as much, but my daughter is up every night and in our bed.
