#Sponsored #InvisalignTalk : Getting the Straight Talk on Straight Teeth

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Invisalign. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

We have four children. They all have beautiful smiles...they do not all have straight teeth. My 15-yr. old daughter has a gap between her Cuspid (canine) and first molar tooth on each side of her mouth. The rest of her teeth are beautifully straight, so you don't even notice it, but she does. And she's mentioned her displeasure with it more than one time. That being said, she is also a Sophomore in high school, and despite what they say, and to her right now, looks really do matter. That means if there is an alternative to traditional braces, that works just as well...she is going to be all-in.

Enter Orthodontic Braces from Invisalign

Traditional Braces on the Left
Invisalign on the Right

Invisalign Teen, is an effective straighter for the teeth of both pre-teen and teen children. It is clear, and it is removable (great for brushing & flossing, and no food restrictions!). My daughter would love that it's clear, I love that it is affordable, and would allow her the freedom to live life as she is right now, without the disruption of metal wires, brackets, and the elastic bands found in traditional braces. These aligners would be great for athletic students too, allowing them to play their sport of choice without the worry of mouth trauma or injury.

Take the Invisalign Smile Assessment
to see if an Invisalign treatment would be right for you.

Setting the Record Straight (punny, right?)

As with any product, there are some common myths abounding. One is that Invisalign is used only to treat minor or cosmetic issues, but that is so not true. Invisalign Teen effectively treats a wide variety of Orthodontic issues, including severe bite issues. The underbite, crossbite, deepbite, or overbite can all be treated with Invisalign. Wide spaces, and overcrowding can also be corrected with the advancements that have been made within the Invisalign technology.

There is also a myth that the clear braces cost is higher than that of traditional braces. That is not at all true. Just as with braces, Invisalign aligners are covered by most dental insurance policies, and Flexible Spending Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) can be used for Invisalign as well, meaning you get more bang for your buck.

The Invisalign Teen comes with up to six free replacement aligners too, and each liner has a compliance indicator, or small blue dot, that gradually fades with use. That makes it very easy for you, and for the Orthodontist too, to see when it is time for a replacement aligner to be put into place. That is handy for many reasons, including the fact that it helps eliminate the need for unnecessary, costly, and/or time-consuming Orthodontic visits to have to be scheduled.

The facts are that these clear braces are easy on the eyes (no unsightly appearance), great for self-confidence (they are invisible so tweens and teens won't need to feel self-conscious, and they are working for long-term correction), effective for many different types of Orthodontic challenges, and they are affordable. What's not to love?

  87. I grew up back in the times when braces and such other foreign objects didn't have their place in our mouths. My teeth came out fine, but these days, it's true, I hardly see any teenager without those. Not sure what happened during the last 40 years or so that now people who don't get these things as young will have crooked teeth. Maybe lack of vitamins and minerals in the diet?

    ReplyDelete
  88. My 9 year old needs braces badly so I'll have to check this out for him and see if it's worth the price as well because traditional braces are way cheaper.

  89. Invisalign has become one of the most amazing innovations in modern orthodontics. But just like most any product, it’s important we the public are informed of a Invisalign fact:

Since Invisalign technology became available on the market; it continues to get better and better, but though technology has NOT advanced to take care of some complex cases. Thus, it's worth mentioning NOT all orthodontic candidates are optimal candidates for Invisalign.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I wish we have these kind option when I was a kid.
