Back in the Wild West Days, it'd be a Ghost Town

There'a a great place in the next town over where my son goes to get his bounce on. It's a big five room area that is filled with all different kinds of bounce houses.

I don't know how long it's going to be open though because there are rarely any other children in there when we go (crazy, right?).

It's been there for over a year now, so it's not that people don't know it's there. It's not expensive to get into. It isn't in a remote or bad location. So, I don't know why it's visited so infrequently.

On the day we were there, we had the place to ourselves for awhile, and then a family with three kids came in, but it still felt pretty empty.

It may be a bounce house place with little to no visitors...

but as long as it's stays open, we'll keep going.

My son has so much fun in there. It's one of the few places he gives me an 'aw man' to, when it's time to leave. I'm sure other children would love to play there too, so I don't know what the deal is... I guess all we can do is enjoy it while we can.

Is there a great place close to you that it baffles you because no one goes to visit?

  2. Looks like fun, maybe kids are too busy glued to the TV or computer?

  5. There's a place like this in our town, but it is always packed. So much so that I can't stand to stay there - we drop the kids off!

  6. I would love if someplace like this existed near us and would so take my girls to it if it did exist! :)

  7. If adults were allowed in, I would be in there bouncing with him.

  8. I really do not know if there are places near me at all like that-it looks like great fun. I wonder why they don't advertise more in the local papers.

  11. I wish we had one of these places were close by. The only thing I can think of is at the performing arts and museum I work at, we have free student rush tickets to some wonderful events. It is really sad that students don't take advantage of this. We have only had a small handful with the past shows and we have some great, notable names that come here to perform: ballets, Daivd Sedaris, Sandra Bernhard, Martin Short, etc.

  12. I love taking my son to bounce houses! he has a blast

  13. We don't have any of those around here. There are two close to where my mom lives, and we always say we are going to take Elliott some time, but we never do. It seems like we always have too much stuff planned for when we are there. And he chooses Chuck E Cheese over places like that.

  14. FIVE rooms? That is awesome. We have a few of those types of places, but have only been for other kids' birthday parties. They usually only have one larger room with about 4-5 bounce house type things.

  15. Bouncy houses rock I still like playing in them at my age.

  19. We have a place like this near us, but it is always crazy busy when we go in. I would love it if it looked like a ghost town even just one time.

  20. Every year my daughter has her birthday at a bounce place near us. Boring for the adults, but a blast for the kids!

  21. How weird. I would have expected that place to be packed to the rafters. Indeed, enjoy it while you can.

  22. What a great little place if something like that existed in Halifax, I would have taken Valentina there often... she loved places like that when she was younger :)

  34. We actually attended a birthday party last year in a venue like this one and the kids loved it. I wanted to go down the slide myself.

  35. There's a restaurant here that serves great food and I can't figure out why it's not visited more. It's fast casual mexican. The thing is that Chipotle is about to open up (which I love, love, love) and I think that will be the nail in the coffin. I don't think I'll ever go back once I have my beloved Chipotle.

  36. That looks like a lot of fun. I would love to go play and slide.

  37. Too bad people don't visit. It will be sad when they close. Our bounce house place is 2 towns over, so we don't go. But they get pretty busy since they are located in the mall.

    ReplyDelete
  38. That's disappointing that its closing. My town could use something like this as we have long brutal winters and the kids get pent up. Being able to bounce out their energy in an indoor place would be great!

  39. Bouncing is so much fun (even for grownups). We had a trampoline place when I was growing up.

  46. my grandsons would have a blast! they go to a much smaller one inside the YMCA near them. it is supervised by an adult, so the parents can get their workouts in while the kids can go crazy with theirs!

    ReplyDelete
  52. We have a place like that around here too. It's at an indoor flea market place and there is hardly ever anyone there and they have tons of bounce things.

  66. The bounce house place near us is always busy. In fact, it is so busy that I really dread going there. There are too many kids for the boys to really be able to have a good time. At least I won't have to worry about them shutting their doors, though.
