Wordless Wednesday: iPad Table Menus?

A). They had Nutella on the menu (my daughter's fave)
B). The menus are all on tablet (my first time seeing that, ever)!

  1. That's a new one, but I am not surprised. We live in an age of ever changing technology!

  2. Now that is cool. Hope it was secured to the table.

  3. You cannot go wrong with Nutella and our local Chili's has something similar to this with being able to order dinner, pay the check and even play games on a device like this. Pretty cool :)

  4. Definitely cannot go wrong with nutella - and ipad menus, insane!

  5. Well that's new to me too....yayyyy for Nutella too heheh!

Have a nuttastic week & thanks for cartwheeling by Rosey ;-)

  6. Nutella on a menu would be fantastic! I have seen table menus, just not very many.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi Rosey, Nutella is all the rage now! I have never seen a tablet menu before! I do like the regular menus though. Enjoy the rest of the week.

  8. Whatever works. The "in" thing here is to write the menu on a chalkboard. That's ok, but I'm looking for meals for 3 people. By the time I get back to my seat I forget what I'm ordering. Especially if there's a bunch of fancy names for the food.

  9. Fun post and to have nutella on the memory ~ your daughter must have been thrilled ~ Happy Week to you xoxo

  11. A menu with nutella is MY kind of menu LOL

    ReplyDelete
  12. Never saw them on a tablet before, bet soon they'll be doing it at many a shore

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well this is an easy way to update the menu indeed. I love this and I'm not surprised either.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  14. The Nutella menu item sounds delicious! =) I have never seen those tablet menus, very interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Not a bad list. There are a few restaurants in my area that allow you to order from the table without the waitor even being present.

  16. I'm having a hard time with this one. Are the menus built into the table? Is it electronic? I've seen a lot of menus on tables and am not seeing how this one stands out. Sorry, but I need a wider angle shot to get this one. I can't tell if the cake and coffee is a photo or the actual item on a shelf. It looks real, but surely they wouldn't put actual food on every table to advertise it. ???

    1. It's an ipad, and that's what they're using for the menu now. It was my first time seeing a tablet used for a menu. :)

  18. digital menus!! Cool - it's totally the future!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I love the idea of nutella on a menu! I've never seen a digital menu, but I'm sure they'll become quite popular quickly.

  20. A digital menu? My dinosaur self is scared.
The best menu I have seen (yet)? A restaurant/cafe down by the lake with a separate menu for the dogs. Who are welcome.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh, interesting! I haven't seen menus on tablets here yet, but now we can pay on our own little digital monitors right at our tables! Ah, technology!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't think I've ever been to a place where all the menus are on a tablet. I have to imagine that it would be handy and easier to see nice photos of what you're ordering.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I first encountered the iPad menu ordering system at an airport restaurant a couple of years ago. It was awkward and confusing, even though it looked cool.

    ReplyDelete
  24. We used to visit a local restaurant when we lived in a different town. They had all their menu on the paper placemats they had on each table.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The tablet menu is interesting! I wonder how they keep them from being stolen.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That is pretty cool seeing technology trickle down - soon we won't need waiters ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. thats a new one to me also. now I would go hungry if I had to place my order digitally!! Faythe @ GrammyMouseTails

  28. A lot of places are trying to save money. I am noticing more table menus and less host/hostesses. The wait staff is taking over doing most of the jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Which restaurant is that? I want a digital menu. Thanks for sharing!

  30. A few years back, we ate at a restaurant that had their menus on tablet that was built into the table top. Really cool stuff, I tell you. I thought that may be a sign of things to come, but have yet to see any other restaurants pick it up. I guess technology will have to wait for our area to catch up. #WW

  31. that is really need. I like the others hope its attached and not stolen.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That looks like a very clever idea. No more waiting around for the waiter to bring them in.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I've seen lots of inserts on the table. I love how restaurants now have Nutella on the menu

    ReplyDelete
  34. hmmmm I thought I stopped by already, but oh well if I did here's another comment. mmmmmmmmmmm NY CHEESECAKE mmmmmmmm I gotta go get me some! I love me some cheesecake and a cold glass a milk. I could make a meal of just that! hehehehe Thanks for stopping by dear friend! I made sure I'm following all your social networks too! hugs

  35. we went to a place that had tablets on the table... the menu was on it and then you could add the games feature (for a buck) to let the kids play........

  37. That is different. I still know so many people that would not go there because of it. We still have so many people that are not into technology so I hope they have another printed version for them.

  38. I have a house full of Nutella purchased on sale, we all love it! And an iPad menu seems efficient, but it probably needs to be tied to the table!

  39. I have never seen a menu on a tablet before, but that's such a cool idea! It would make it easier to change daily specials, prices, and add new items to the menu.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Our local Chili's restaurants have table top menus and going electronic now. Although they are not using iPads quite yet.

    ReplyDelete
  41. How cool is that!?!? I am absolutely not surprised though, we are moving by leaps and bounds when it comes to technology.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nutella is certainly in abundance in our household! My kids love it. Amber N

    ReplyDelete
  43. Can you believe I've never had Nutella before? I went to a restaurant and we could order on iPads. It was pretty crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. First, I LOVE nutella, so this is my kind of restaurant. And on an ipad? Amazing idea! So easy to change the menu as needed.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would so want to play with the tablet and see what else it could do - does it have games to play while you wait for your order lol! x

    ReplyDelete
  46. What?!? That is such a great idea. Better than those little generic games at Chill's!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I love that the tablet is a menu! How tech savvy!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Flemings has these for their wines, they are amazing! I love the idea!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Smart idea, and they could be very interactive, too.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hmm I dont know, I love my ipad but what more fun than flipping through the oversized menus and deciding what to eat. Certainly interesting, they want to watched they dont go walkabout

    ReplyDelete
  51. Some restaurants here use iPads or iPad minis for menus too. As much as I'm a tech user, I still prefer the good ol' physical menus! Easier to just pick and let someone else do the writing haha

  52. I haven't seen a menu like this before either I think it's a cleaver idea not sure how much more useful this would be but I do love Nutella

    ReplyDelete
  53. We saw something similar at a UNOs restaurant in Virginia. I didn't like it. I don't mind doing the work at a fast food place, but at a sit-down restaurant, I prefer having a server who knows the menu take our order.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I haven't seen an ipad menu yet but it doesn't surprise me at all!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I have been seeing this more and more. I don't like it, LOL. I want a menu in my hand.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow, that is crazy! I know Chili's has a tablet-like thing at the table where you can order dessert from it and pay for your bill that way.

    ReplyDelete
  57. When I went to Bonefish Grill a few weeks back, the waiter was taking our order on an iPad. Technology is everywhere I tell ya!

    ReplyDelete
  58. That is pretty cool. I'd worry about it getting broken.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Those must be expensive menus! Nutella is always a winner at our house too. http://abooksandmore.blogspot.com/2014/07/anniversary-and-ww-linky.html

  60. How cool is it to have iPad menus, especially when they have something you would love to eat listed on them. Bon appetite!

    ReplyDelete
  61. First time I've seen this as well. Isn't it tough to always keep it on and charged?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I've never seen a menu on a tablet either. Interesting! I really like Nutella too.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I had no idea this is even a possibility! Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I learn something everyday! I didn't know about this one. I think it's pretty cool. I have never tasted Nutella, I have heard so many good things about it too!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Ha ha I love that, very creative. I bet the younger generation can read this even better.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I've been to a few restaurants that had this. I find it so modern and neat!

    ReplyDelete
  67. That's interesting. They aren't worried about people stealing them? I bet this wouldn't be cost effective as regular menus!

    ReplyDelete
  68. This is fun. I've not seen them yet but I'm sure it is going to be a popular option.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Genius! I would worry about them being stole or broken though. My husband works in a restaurant and they so everything on iPad minis as employees but this is neat!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I've never seen something like this. There's so much technology out there!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Saving the company money for sure! Hope they had wifi

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think this is cool! At our local Chili's, they now have little tablets on the tables where you can play games, and pay if you are using a credit card! What an advance in technology!

    ReplyDelete
  73. That is definitely a new concept to me. I have not seen it used in restaurants yet. I can see how it would be easier--changing the menu with a flick of the fingertip!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oh my gosh, how neat is that! I've never seen that before!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I've never seen menus on a tablet before. There's a first time for everything!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I saw these at Applebee's the other day and was pretty impressed. Very neat.

    ReplyDelete
  77. The Cin-Nutella Sticks sound delicious. I never knew they had menus on tablets before.

    ReplyDelete
  78. They have those at a restaurant around here. I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  79. That's kind of cool! It makes sense, though.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I have never seen this done but with how tech savy today's world is i'm not surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  81. That is really cool!!!
