Preserve Your Memories with Yes Video ($50 Gift Card Giveaway)

YesVideo has made me very happy!

Do you have a box full of old VHS videotapes that you'd like to have converted to DVD? I've got tons of them and I worry that the tape is getting old and decrepit and that my memories are going to be lost. Recently YesVideo converted some video for me, onto DVD so I could see how easy it was to get my memories transferred to a more reliable source.

I was so happy to get some of what was featured on my old tapes more securely put onto DVD. There were practices and games from my oldest son's football and wrestling matches. There was a violin recital where my second oldest son had a solo performance. And my daughter was running around full of all kinds of love for her mommy (such a sweetie patootie!).

Not only will YesVideo convert your tapes to DVD, but they'll also share the conversion with you online, and you can share snippets or chapters with friends and family.

YesVideo always has an app, so you can play around with the videos on your iPhone or iPad. It's so much fun once you get in there and start poking around with the videos they've created. You also get a copy of the movie on DVD.

The process to sign up is simple. Simply create your free account at www.YesVideo.com You will get instructions on what to do next...which will be to mail your VHS tapes, or even your film reels to them in the manner instructed (they also scan photos!). Make sure you wrap your originals well to avoid damage in transit!

When the conversion is finished, YesVideo will send you a link to it online, and a tracking code so you can see exactly where your original media and new DVDs are at any given moment prior to arriving on your doorstep.



For the online portion of the conversion, you can share small snippets, embed whole chapters (I've embedded one of our chapters above, it's from a tape made 14 years ago), and you can share via e-mail or Facebook. For a limited time, YesVideo and Hallmark have teamed up to make your sharing even nicer, with pretty border options.

You can also edit your movies online and order them the way you want them, add music if you would like, and even provide access to your account to others. Another cool feature is that they create little preview videos for you, for each video you convert (with background music).

  12. We did this and we salvaged all our family and home videos. :) Now instead of taking up so much space, they are just a few dvds. Plus, easy to watch, too!

  52. There are a few videos of me. Mostly band concerts from jr high and high school and my graduation. My parents didnt have a cam (gosh they were so giant then) and had to get copies from other parents. My uncle filmed my graduation.

  75. This is where I'm going to sound super young, because I don't have any VHS videos at my house. My parents have a ton from dance recitals and Christmas, but we jumped on the digital camcorder train somewhat early so my highschool stuff was done digitally. This would be awesome for those dance recital tapes though!

  83. I love this! I have been telling my hubby that I want to get our wedding video and the tapes of our older kids births transferred to dvd. I visited the website and found they have locations in my town! Love this since I wouldn;t have to worry about my tapes getting lost or damaged.

  110. We used to watched movies thru VSH tapes and yes it's a great way to store memories. All the cartoons that we've recorded way back in the 90's are still functioning.
