$50 Amazon GC Giveaway - Presidio Home Care

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

When you have a parent or other loved one who has to be in full-time care, making the decision of where to put them can be hard on everyone. It is certainly never a decision to be taking lightly. My mom has approached the topic with me lightly, and I know someday, I may have to discuss it with my own children.  My aunt and uncle live on the west coast, and are very happy with the senior home care in LA options they have found for his mother, who absolutely needs full-time supervision. I am very happy for them that they feel at peace with the facility they have selected.

If you have ever gone through the process, you know just how taxing it can be. If you live in the LA area and are searching for a good care facility (whether full-time, sporadically, hourly, or just to help you or a loved one get back on your feet), take a look at Presidio Home Care to see if they might be a good fit. Their reputation is good, and their options are plentiful!

Thanks to the generosity of today's sponsor, one lucky reader is going to get a $50 Amazon gift card to call their own. US & Canada only.

  1. That sounds like a great resource for people out on the west coast. I haven't had to look into anything like this for my own parents yet, but they are getting older, so maybe it's time to start.

  2. That's a great resource. My uncle is very ill and hard to care for- I will pass this info along to my family out there. I am scared for this day for my own mom, but I have a few more years on her spry-senior-self!

  5. This sounds like such a great service, our parents need help as they get older and often times we are at work when they need things.

  6. I helped a couple who were friends transition over to an assisted living home and that was a real 'eye opener' It is really best to check out the options as some facilities are lacking. I'm so glad your aunt and uncle are happy where they are residing.

  12. I have to agree that this can be a very touchy subject, but it is a reality. It is better to take care of these arrangements for family in advance versus scrambling last minute to work out all the details.

  13. My mother in law is 94 and can't be left alone. She's still in her house, but she has tons of extra care. Expensive too. It's what she wants...she doesn't want to go into a home and we'll do our very best to honor that.

    Have a fabulous day. :)

  26. Definitely a talk that everyone needs to have sooner rather than later. I am pretty much not putting my parents in a home unless absolutely necessary! I've worked in one & though some facilities look great, I don't trust the care once visiting hours are over with...sadly.

  27. My dad is in his 70s and it honestly scares me to think he'll be in a home someday. I'm not prepared at all, only having the experience of seeing my grandpa go into a home.

  31. My Nana is nearly 90, and lives with my aunts, with my mom and other family members chipping in to help out. I can see how taxing it can be at times on them, and my husband and I really need to discuss the future with our own parents.

  61. My grandmother is thinking about moving into an apartment complex that's meant for seniors. It's like a step above an assisted living facility.

I can't really comment upon the care, as I'm nowhere near LA but I think they're generous and open to communicating if they've sponsored a giveaway. Both good signs.

Stopping by to say hello and leave some comment love from the Dish!

  64. My grandparents (who are now retired) owned a "Comfort Keepers" which is an at home (non-medical) assistance program for seniors who aren't quite ready to transition into a full time care facility or to live with family members who are willing to help care for them as they age. I am a firm believer in helping family so I would love to be able to take care of my parents as they get older. It looks like Presidio offers a great service to senior citizens!
