Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.

    1. Not me, I like them tons. :) I saw another Wizard of Oz (animated) one is coming out. My youngest is excited about that one, but I could skip it. I won't...but I could. ;)

  3. I know Ryan would like this movie. James, not so much. This might be one where we split up - I go with Ryan to see this and James goes with Dad to see something like Spiderman 2.. Depending on what's playing at the time.

  9. Hollywood has once again "discovered" fairytales. Maybe that comes from there having been several generations that weren't literally bathed in fairytales so now it seems new and novel.
As a child I remember having several large books filled with those marvelous fantasy stories. The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and of course Lewis Carroll's, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I read them over and over and over again, never growing tired of them.

I also remember when Disney released their beautiful, original, animated wonders such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Alice in Wonderland.
I guess it's true what they say about "What's old is New again".

    1. Agreed. And I still have my Grimm and Andersen books. I thought they were magical too when I was a little. Even seeing the books made me happy. :)

    1. There's something cool about dramatic fairy tales on the big screen...so long as they're not too scary. ;)

  18. My son used to be so afraid of Maleficent. He wanted someone to sit with him when she was on screen. Angelina Jolie is so perfect. I wouldn't have thought of her, but when I heard that I just thought she is the perfect actress.
