Robin (Masshole Mommy) put a post up on Facebook today that really made me laugh. You can see it here if you want to laugh too. If you follow Robin's blog (& if you don't you should :) ), you know she's the least lazy mom ever, always out and about and doing something. That makes the post even funnier.
My daughter had a school dance last night. She's officially been to more school dances than either of her older brothers & she's only a Freshman. She's always loved to be on the dance floor though, so I'm not a bit surprised.
Dad's taken the kids to T-Ball today (his first time having a day off to go to a game). I'm at home...because the family gets so sneaky come holiday shopping time (Mother's Day ;) ). It's a beautiful day for T-Ball, AND for yard work, which is what I'll be doing all day.
I'm so so so loving this weather. And the Magnolia Trees. :)
It's going to be a great Saturday!!
Have a great weekend! I am definitley enjoying this nice weather, too! We had a rough winter so it is about time!
ReplyDeleteWinter is a very distant memory to me now (and woohoo for it!!).
DeleteBeautiful shot. Ours departed at the end of February the first of March. We're early here.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Mothers Day. :)
They come and go so fast!!! Fabulous day to you too. I'm headed over to say hello! :)
DeleteWow, that is early! Ours was the week my phone was resting in rice. :/
DeleteHi Rosey. I've been away so I'm catching up with blog reading. I love magnolia trees too. I used to climb the one in my parents' garden when I was a child. Kids! They do say the most embarrassing stuff at times! : )
ReplyDeletewww.lululovesfilms.wordpress.com
I hope you had a great trip!
DeleteIt's a wonderful photo of a beautiful tree. I have a standard Southern white blossomed magnolia tree and the blooms look huge, gorgeous and smell heavenly but by the next day the pretty white petals start to yellow and then turn brown. Wish the blooms did last longer but maybe it's God's way of telling us to enjoy life's pleasures because they come and go so quickly. :)
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh about your episode in the supermarket with your son. Almost 60 long years ago Art Linkletter wrote a book titled; "Kids Say the Darndest Things". It was as true then as it is today.
I wonder if these blooms smell good too. I'll have to check.
DeleteI remember Art Linkletter's show. :)
Happy Mother's Day! I love our Teddy Bear magnolia in our yard.
ReplyDeleteThank you a ton! And you're lucky to have one in your yard!
DeleteLove your magnolia. I have given up planting them here as the cockatoos pull them apart - so I take my pleasure elsewhere. Thank you - and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteAh, but you've got cocatoos. That must be nice in and of itself. :)
Deletewhat a beautiful tree. I love that shade of purple so pretty and spring like.
ReplyDeleteThey are very indicative of Spring. :)
DeleteEnjoy the Magnolia trees, they are beautiful ... I hope the family spoils you Rosey... you deserve it... have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Launna. And def. wishing you the same!
DeleteThat is a beautiful tree, I am not sure if I have ever even seen one. What a wonderful view to have though! I am happy Spring is here!
ReplyDeleteI am happy it's here too. :)
Deletehaha geez, so your a heavy beer drinker too huh? Still not nice here. I went to a total of one dance, she got me beat.
ReplyDeleteWhy I oughta... :) That child's silly. :)
DeleteMy last house was next to a glorious magnolia - I do miss it! Cheers from Carole's chatter
ReplyDeleteMy husband says it's better when it belongs to a neighbor (because of the mess). ;) I wouldn't mind the mess, that tree is def. worth it!
DeleteBeautiful tree and definitely enjoying the nicer weather, especialły after this past winter. Have a great weekend now and Happy Mother's Day again :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janine. I love Mother's Day. :)
DeleteThey area a sight. Nice to have great weather to
ReplyDeleteYou can say that again. ;)
DeleteThat's a beautiful tree! My daughters yell for me to not forget the wine at the grocery store. It was really funny when I was hugely pregnant, too!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I bet it was funny when you were expecting. :)
DeleteI haven't seen anything like this in real life, but they look beautiful. I'd love to see it!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my most favorite trees. :)
DeleteI liked the beer story!
ReplyDeleteWell, that makes one of us. ;) :)
DeleteThe blossoms are beautiful. Your beer story reminds me of the time I put a bottle of Worcester sauce in my basket at the grocery store and my daughter yelled, "Beer. You have drugs! Don't buy drugs!"

ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile. Have a wonderful weekend!
That magnolia is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeer? I'm more into ale. As in "Adam's ale." (aka water)
I love magnolia trees too! they are so beautiful this time of year. I also love crepe myrtles which bloom in the summer
ReplyDeleteThey make me happy too! The colors are beautiful and so full of happiness. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of my grandmothers house. She always use to have them in her front yard. I love the pretty pink color!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, what a little stink pot! :) As my grandma used to say, shame shame double shame everybody knows your name. :) You booze hound. h ahahahaha
ReplyDeleteWe had baseball yesterday... but it rained on us the whole game...
ReplyDeleteHope the weather gets better - we are ready for beautiful sunshine.
Have a great Mothers Day
I love Magnolia trees to! We can only grow dwarf ones in Nebraska. When I went to live in Savannah, GA for a few years at first I didn't know what the pods, or seeds were that were laying all over the place. They were from their giant Magnolia trees!
ReplyDeleteI met a couple that named their daughter Nolia off of Magnolia trees.
I love the photo. Mother nature amazes me with her beauty sometimes. Have a fantastic weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHaha your son! Enjoy your time being outdoors & have a great Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing everything bloom in the spring...this winter was way too long and way too cold...and I was only here for half of it, LOL... spent the other half in Florida, and I still hated the cold when we came back. Yuck :(
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! I love nothing more than working out in the yard. Just something about playing in the dirt makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteThe magnolia blooms are beautiful. I would love to see them in person one day!
ReplyDeleteAll of my neighbors have those gorgeous trees in their yard, but not me. I really love admiring theirs though! Saturday was such a gorgeous day. We spent it in the yard doing work too. Got a little crispy, but it was just too nice not to be out there!
ReplyDeleteI love magnolia trees too and I enjoy seeing them bloom during the Spring. That is a beautiful photograph.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous trees! More than that, they mean good weather is coming when they bloom!
ReplyDeleteMitch
We love Magnolia Trees! Perfect for Spring time!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a wonderful beginning to this fabulous weekend. Hope today was as nice for you.
ReplyDeleteThat magnolia tree is beautiful! I hope you had a wonderful and productive Saturday. I have been waiting for this beautiful weather for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those in our yard! I love how gorgeous it looks!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful tree. I have a plumeria tree in my yard and I just shared the pic on Instagram. It is blooming and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Back in the 70s-day, I was at the grocery store with my mom and asked her how come daddy smokes but we never buy cigarettes ;-)
ReplyDeleteThey're a reminder that warmer weather is here. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful tree sounds like the family is getting reading for some warm weather
ReplyDeleteThat tree is beautiful and you are so right... the blossoms only last for a very short while.
