Mail4Rosey is excited to join Advertise with Bloggers and Adventures of My Family of 8 to bring you this giveaway. What do you do when you have extra money? Do you save it, invest it, spend it? We dabble a bit with investing, and it's not always a win for us, but it is fun! I'd love to learn more about it, and learn more about how to work smarter with my money (not harder with my time). Michael Warren Munsey has written a self-help book that can get you (and me) on the road to financial freedom.
An Average Joe’s Pursuit for Financial Freedom offers a different perspective on money than what is traditionally taught by our parents and in our school systems. The reason there is such a discrepancy between the wealthy and the poor is due to the difference in the way money is perceived. We are not born with the ability to maintain wealth: it is something that is learned. The knowledge of knowing how to make money work to generate passive income is something that anyone can learn as long as they are disciplined. An Average Joe’s Pursuit for Financial Freedom is based on practical concepts and discusses the problems that the majority of us face with our personal finance. The concepts in this book are based on theory by an author that practices what he writes about.

kids SHOULD be required to take financial courses. all of them. basic skills need to be learned sooner than later!
DeleteThe high schoolers in my town do have to take something called a financial literacy course that gives a general overview.
DeleteWe didn't have anything until college. I'm glad to hear they're teaching about it earlier than that now.
DeleteMy parents taught me about money. Credit and saving. How to live within our means. It was a great lesson that has served me very well.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. :)
Grateful to know Bobbie and a big Congrats to her hubby. Wishing him the best of success on his book!
ReplyDeleteI think more needs to be taught to our kids as they're growing up so they don't face the same financial struggles my generation faces routinely. Of course, if the economy would get better, it might not be so hard for so many of us.
ReplyDeleteYou can never learn too much about $ handling.
ReplyDeleteI wish my parents had taught me ore about money when I was younger. I am not making that mistake with my own kids.
ReplyDeleteLove to win. Heard a bit about this book
ReplyDeleteYep. I've heard about this book on other blogs too. I think it sounds interesting!! I tweeted!
ReplyDeleteOh Rosey! Thanks for the nice Mother's Day greetings. Sure hope your Day was full of love. Yes, my granddaughters love to rifle through my jewelry. One even is so painstakingly careful to put it back where it belongs. Fun!

Don't we all want financial freedom? As soon as we are clear of the student loan, it's HOME FREE!!

ReplyDeleteLearning how to balance is the key! SAVE SAVE SAVE!
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway! that would be an awesome start to learning to save. :)
ReplyDeleteWe try to have a plan in place for extra money before we get it. Just because it's easy to spend it! But if we have a plan in place, then we don't blow it. For instance, right now our plan for extra money is to have our home painted. And then, after that, go on a nice weekend getaway! This book sounds great!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to have financial freedom. It helps our house be less stressful.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great eBook. Financial freedom is a goal for many.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great opportunity, especially for some young folks who are struggling to keep their heads above debt. Great giveaway offer! Thanks.

ReplyDeleteHubby is the one who handles all the finances here, but I do think this would be a great book for him to learn a few more tips of the trade!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book. Nice to know that the author works in the oil industry, my hubby worked for Texaco as a petroleum engineer but not in Texas. He started out in southern California and later his job and position took him to Trinidad in the West Indies, Quito Ecuador and then to Angola Africa.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great book to read for insights into achieving our own personal financial freedom. I like that it focuses on the average joe and not someone born into a higher position.
ReplyDeleteI just saw this on another blog. I am definitely buying it to read.
ReplyDeleteThis should be required reading for all kids to make sure they are prepared for the real world.
ReplyDeleteWe try to plan, but usually we just wind up saving so we're prepared for the next big car crisis or orthodontist's bill.
ReplyDeleteWe could totally use a new outlook on money. I want to have more passive income coming in so we can work less and still enjoy life!
ReplyDeleteProper financial-planning is definitely something I'd need to work on! I'm not that great with numbers so I tend to just brush it aside :P

ReplyDeleteSounds like a book many could benefit from. I like that it sounds like it's in easy to understand terms. - Jenn @ The Rebel Chick
ReplyDeleteI will have to take a look at this book and think about getting it for my kids. They probably could benefit the most.
ReplyDeleteOne of my Dad's money lessons has always stuck with me, and that was, "If you can't afford to lose it, you can't afford to loan it." That has proven valuable.
ReplyDeleteLearning how to properly handle money is something everyone can benefit from and teach our children about. It looks like a very beneficial read.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of this book! I think everyone could benefit from it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom has taught me a lot of financial stuff over the years. I would love to read this book too!
ReplyDeleteInteresting concept to the book.. I'd love to learn more about money management to reach a point of increasing my savings to millions. :) Maybe the giveaway is a start!
ReplyDeleteInteresting book! That is definitely my goal too! I'll take a closer look
ReplyDeleteInteresting book. I think financial freedom is high on the list for a lot of us!
ReplyDeleteGood topic, I know several people even as adults that aren't very good with their money. It's such an important thing to learn and keep up with throughout life!
ReplyDeleteLooks like that would be a helpful book. I always try to save extra money right now, because I'm trying to beef up my "emergency fund."
ReplyDeleteSounds like this would be a helpful book. Your view on money does make such a difference.

ReplyDeleteFrom BabsProjects: I think this book would be of a great help to me. Although I am pretty good when it comes to saving, I am sure there will be helpful tips.
ReplyDeleteIt is important for us to make financial literacy as important a part of life as reading and mathematical study.
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for my brother, he's graduating high school this year & knows nothing about money. I don't want him to learn the hard way!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really great ebook. What an awesome giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWe all need help with our finances. If only more people would be more careful and wise!!
ReplyDeleteI can always appreciate some financial guidance. They should focus more on this in schools rather than weird math that is useless.
ReplyDeleteI save extra money. There is no such thing as "extra" money! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm not one that has a lot of money to work with, and I think thats because I have urges tos pend it. I need to learn about investing and/or saving more!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard about tis book before but need to get it to have all the facts on ensuring we keep debt free!
ReplyDeleteI hope that the author dumbed this down, for lack of a better term, to the level where average people can actually benefit from it. After all, he is likely a highly paid cog in the Halliburton machine. There is a huge disparity between that level of income and what a person with very limited income (the millions of displaced workers who cannot find a job, for instance...I know too many in this category) can afford to invest or save.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book to have and read!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely an interesting book.
