Wordless Wednesday: On the Map

This map was hanging up at a place we went to visit recently. Each state shape was made from that state's license plate. I think I've seen something like this before at some point, but I can't remember where. I think it's cool. :)

I'd like to have something unique and personal like that on my wall. Maybe a giant Lego 8 bit Zelda. Yea that would be sweet.

Uncommon Goods sells one, or used to. I love them to. When I was younger I used to take pictures of license plates. I in no way thought about the privacy infringement. That may have seemed odd to others. I was trying to get all the states. It didn't happen. Since I lived in Savannah, GA for awhile there were military bases there. I got a lot that I didn't think I'd get.

I noticed Michigan's is different. It hasn't been blue in awhile. When I was a kid in Ohio, we'd count the MI license plates that came to town (easy to identify by that bright blue color). :)

mail4rosey said...

Ours hasn't been blue for awhile either. ;)
