(Almost) Wordless Wed: You are What You Eat

IF you're going to eat like this on the weekend...

Homemade pizza on Friday

Enchildas on Saturday

& lasagna on Sunday

then this is how you're going to feel when you start off your work week on Monday.

Gotta eat that energy food (fruits, veggies, & lighter selections) if you want that peppy step.

Just saying... hehehe. Some good-natured ribbing for my true love. ;)

But the food looked delicious! But seriously, I know the feeling and weekend over indulgence happens here often too. Happy Wednesday, Rosey :)

I eat like crap ALL weekend, but I eat great and workout hard during the week, so that kind of makes up for it.

Tami said...

LOL....sounds like my weekend. However, I've been sick and have had no appetite all last week so I deserve a weekend of junk food.

I want dinner at your house and your pizza looks wonderful

That is a lot of cheese right there now. Don't get me wrong - I love cheese - but I am beginning to understand the ratio of cheese to belly fat. Not good. So, I am trying to go easy on the cheese. I really should just give up cream in my coffee, but I am not willing to go that far...

Hi Rosey - I don't eat pizza very often and I must say I've been feeling like one recently ... better do something about it - or come over to Roseys! Love lasagne too ...

Healthy fresh fruit and veg - essentials for me .. cheers Hilary

Hi Rosey, wow you had a lot of Italian food over the weekend. I love that kind of food and I bet you were all happy. I love lasagna but don't make it too often and I should! We have a lot of veggies & fruit in our house too but I like the veggies more than fruit. Take care and have a nice day and week.

Nag, nag, nag...
Seriously though you're right. I better go take a nap now because all I've eaten lately is Starbucks and fast food!

I usually let myself eat one or two comfort meals in a week because I do eat so healthy the rest of the time... I love lasagna :)

That some awesome food, but all those carbs can slow you down for sure. Oh so good though.

Have a fabulous day. :)

Looks like a fine meal or three

Kristi Maloney said...

So true Rosey! Those sinful carbs can weight you down, but the meals look fabulous. Your oven is completely spotless....must be brand new? :)

We have two stoves, one in the downstairs area where we entertain and one on the main floor. Awhile back, BOTH ovens went out at the same time. We got tired of calling the repair man and ordered a new one, so it's not that old. :)

Haha! But it's good food!
But yes just as long as the exercising are daily with that yum way of eating.

My partner firmly believes that vegetables are the garnish you put on a plate to make the meat look better. And he has a minimalist approach to garnishes. Except for potato and tomato which have honorary meat status.

I know we are supposed to eat healthier especially when we get older, but it is hard to do. I want to eat your dinner. I do eat healthy most of the time, but sometimes I got to eat something fattening!

Mmmm, looks like an Italian love fest in that oven. Yum Yum!

I saw veggies on the pizza! LOL
that all looks so good, but yes of course, we need the balance of our good fruits and veggies. I am addicted to green beans and snap peas. I don't know what it is - they just are easy to munch on and so good.

It's all so delicious though..... Far easier to eat light choices when it's sunny and warm. : D

You're right, if you eat pizza every day. But a little splurging once in a while is not all that bad :) (I like to fool myself sometimes)

Jennifer Zimmerman said...

That all looks so yummy, though. I love lasagna but it definitely tires me out.

I used to make homemade pizza on our grill outside. So good and it tasted almost like woodfired.

sounds good though! Just wish the healthy stuff tasted as good as the unhealthy stuff!

Lol, that would be my kids diet if I allowed them. Yummy food, but I know exactly how you feel after that :)

Julie Maloney said...

I wish I didn't look at this hungry! Now I must go munch on kale!

Elisebet F said...

Hahahah! Yeah, that's a lot of carb heavy foods. =D I do love homemade pizza. Although I prefer the taste of a nice thick crust, when I make it at home, I'll roll out a really thin crust, to keep the carbs low.
