It's Buckingham Palace. See the guard waaaaaaaaaay in the background? :) It was a pretty extraordinary gate. :)

Janine Huldie said...

Now that is impressive!! Happy Wednesday, Rosey :)

So that is the gate at Buckingham Palace--no one is going to climb over that one very easily! It is magnificent!

Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell said...

Yep, there's no mistaking the fact they want to keep most everyone out! Goodness gracious!

Veronica Lee said...

It's really quite impressive! Love the photo, Rosey!

Cyndie said...

Wow! This is one big gate and quite a beauty, too.

Nikki said...

That is quite the gorgeous gate! Have a happy Wednesday!!

A very ornate gate indeed!!!

Sonya M. Jones said...

WOW! That's the Buckingham Palace gate? Beautiful!

Marie Moody said...

What is the two shields there. Trying to make it out, but just not sure. Guess back in the day they needed to feel safe maybe when it was built that's why it's so huge. I thought they had guards outside the gate.

mail4rosey said...

The Royal Coat of Arms is on the shields. We saw guards inside the gate when we visited, but I've seen pictures of guards outside of it on horses.

stevebethere said...

I live 10 minutes away from there Rosey :-)

Colette S said...

Wow that is impressive!
Is that your son?

Rosey, where are your share buttons?

Brian Miller said...

nice...the crest is really amazing...where is it?

That sure is a gate ... and a huge gate at that. I wonder how many men and boys it takes to open it by hand? I am sure it is controlled electrically these days.

Cascia Talbert said...

That is beautiful! I've never been to Buckingham Palace. That must have been quite the site. Have a terrific Wednesday!

Christy Maurer said...

Did you see me waving out the window of my house while you were there? :) Queen Christy

mail4rosey said...

That trip was before I started a blog, but it would have been great for me and my family to meet up with you for a hello in person! London is my husband's most favorite place to visit, hands down, ever. :) You live in a great place!

Sandee said...

Yes, that's a gate and your husband. Don't forget about him.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ☺

mail4rosey said...

That's my husband, but it was six or seven years ago. :) LOL, I don't know where my share buttons are, hahahaa. I used them today, so maybe only I can see them? :)

mail4rosey said...

Buckingham Palace in London, and I agree, it's amazing. :)

mail4rosey said...

It didn't open when we were there. I don't think the queen was there either because there were only two guards outside. It's been awhile, but I think I read if there are two outside the front door, that means the queen is not there. I do know they were in grey coats because it was cold and rainy. More often they are in red. :)

mail4rosey said...

I knew that was you!! I told my husband, 'Look, it's Queen Christy!' :)

Can you even imagine what it's like to live in such a place? I wonder if we'd love it, or if we'd miss the cozy, comfy nooks we have now. :)

Aisha Kristine Chong said...

What a lovely sight I'd day! Have a lovely day dear!

mail4rosey said...

Meh, you all have seen his picture before. ;) KIDDING! And you totally made me laugh. My husband is giddy happy in that picture because he's totally head over heels about all things London. Even though that pic is a bit fuzzy, it's still one of my favorites of him (aforementioned reason being why). :)
