Woolzies Review & Giveaway

Disclosure: I received a sample product to help facilitate the review.  All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Woolzies dry your clothes faster & no harsh chemicals are involved.

So many people are becoming more and more environmentally aware, moving back to basics and trying natural ideas and remedies for things that are consistent in their lives (like laundry!).  Woolzies, a family-owned business in southern New York took note and has done their part to help make laundry time more environmentally-friendly.  The Woolzie Dryer balls are 100% handmade from New Zealand wool.  They're about the size of a tennis ball, maybe just a tad larger, and they are a cinch to use.

We get static cling in the dryer if we don't use a product, especially in the winter, so I was very happy to give these a try. I like that they are hypo-allergenic, they don't shed, and they are designed to last for 1,000 dryer loads.

I also like that they are easy to use. Simply toss the Woolzie dryer balls into the dryer with your wet laundry and dry.  Don't be surprised if you notice the drying time is reduced from a typical laundry load, as the balls serve to make space in the clothes, allowing the air to get in there and dry the clothes faster than what you might be used to now.

Currently there is no scent associated with the Woolzies, but fragrant drops are in the works, I saw it myself on their website today: hurrah!

I cannot think of any cons associated with these, and I would recommend using them.  They worked just fine with the few loads of clothes we used them on. I'm happy to add them to the short list of items we keep as staples in our laundry room.

Theresa over at Theresa's Mixed Nuts had a review up at the end of summer on this product. If you want to get her take on it, visit here: http://www.theresasmixednuts.com/2013/08/woolzies-dryer-balls-review.html

These are a GREAT idea--my dryer goes pretty slow---but then again I have large loads and it just eats up my electric bill!

Kung Phoo said...

No scent?? That is much better than the usual dryer balls!

Melissa@Natural Beautisms and Flappings in Life said...

I have used these as well and was pretty satisfied. The main thing to remember when using them is they can hide in your clothes easily. I had a few lost at times before I found them. Also if you have pets, they may mistake them as their toys.

mail4rosey said...

6-yr. olds try to 'mistake' them for toys too. ;) Thanks for your visit!

mail4rosey said...

This is my first time using dryer balls, ever. I didn't realize others come with a scent. If I liked the scent, I'd be inclined to use it, if I didn't, it would render the other benefits useless (because who wants clothes they don't like the smell of?). Thanks for you visit!
