Glasstic Water Bottles are Awesome!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

My son's teacher expects the kids to bring a water bottle to school every day. I like it because it's a good way to encourage them to want to drink it.  The challenge is finding the right water bottle. We have gone through several in two years, with the worst case being one we got from the discount store that actually sprung a leak. :/

Glasstic (shatterproof glass water bottle) has been good for my son for several reasons. First and foremost, the drinking spout is an open, fairly large, very easy to clean oval opening on the top. That means my son does not have to fight to open or close it, and it's easy for me to make sure it's clean. The latter is very important to me. With the water bottles that have the long skinny drinking straw, I worry if it's clean enough...how do you actually know?  With the Glasstic bottle, that's not a concern. The bottle also has a nice flip top with a lock, which is designed to prevent leaking and/or accidental spills.

I also like that it's glass, but it's not going to break.  I know those of you who are essential oil or mineral water drinkers prefer glass only, and the durability, size, and shatterproof elements all make the Glasstic bottle a great choice.

See that handle?  That makes it easy to tote if you're an adult taking it with you on a run, or another type of exercise. It also makes it very easy to carry if you're a child (water bottles with no handle can be difficult for little hands to carry).

A big bonus for Glasstic is that they offer glass insert replacements for the life of the product, for just the cost of shipping.  That encourages re-use and helps ensure your bottle is going to around for a long time. Nice! Right now we've only got one in the house, and I let the youngest take it to school each day for his water. If we had another though, I'd use it for my own fruit and veggie concoctions, and for toting around with me when I exercise.  The bottles are also double insulated and sweat-proof so I wouldn't have to worry about condensation, or that they would mar any surface like wood.

The Glasstic bottles are easy to disassemble for cleaning, and they are dishwasher safe.

You can learn more about the Glasstic shatterproof water bottle by visiting their website.

You can also follow them on Facebook, and/or Twitter.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Ooh I like the look of them, I hate drinking from plastic

That's the perfect solution. My boys teachers also prefer the kids to bring water in with them and I can't tell ya how many cracked bottles I've had over the years from them dropping them.

Sounds like a great product!

This looks like a great product. I should get some of these as we buy a lot of bottled water and I hate that I'm constantly throwing away all the plastic bottles. We need to use more products like this Glasstic to cut down on what we're throwing into the dump sites.

huh. pretty cool. i take it that it is heavier, but it looks like your little one handles it just fine, so.....

That's perfect. Can encourage them to drink more water or healthy juices each time rather than buying one.

I've seen these and think they are a great idea. I've actually been meaning to pick one up to take to the gym with me.

Everything at my son's school is portioned out, no snacks over 150 calories, lunches under a certain number of fat grams etc. When Jamie Oliver came they changed a number of things. They don't bring in water bottles though, they drink from the drinking fountains. My son would lose any water bottle I gave him :) He loses everything!!!

This water bottle looks neat though, I like the design!

I have heard of these and would love to have one. I like that my youngest could use one and it not shatter if he drops it.

Sounds like it is perfect indeed. Wonder how well it will stand up to a shatter proof test though lol

I like this glass water bottle. It looks like it is large to hold enough water and the design is very nice. I would like to get one of these because I always have my water bottle with me!

Sounds like a great bottle - I like the handle. It would be convenient for carrying on a run for sure! Glad you found a water bottle for your son that works well.

It looks like a great water bottle! I'm glad you found one that works for your boy. And I love that the teacher wants them all to have water in class!

I've heard about these before. I've shattered so many glasses and bottles in my lifetime, that this seems like the best solution!

My daughter has to drink a lot of water and has gone through so many water bottles! I think I may recommend this one to her.

I love that these are shatter proof! I can't tell you how often water bottles like this get dropped in my house!

I have heard of these and would love to have one for my own use. As I have mentioned my cat loves to swat things off tables and counters and my desk--this way I would be drinking out of something that could not be broken (hopefully) and would not spill all over everything when she has a temper tantrum!

Oh I like the look of these I got a small glass water bottle earlier in the year and it's fab! x

I love the idea of glass water bottles, but the ones I've tried in the past were always so heavy that they just weren't practical. How does this one compare to a plastic bottle? I love that your son is expected to have a bottle at school!

It does look like a really nice bottle to have around. We had something similar. I like the re-usable bottles as they reduce waste. Thank you for sharing.

I love this. Have never seen them before but I want one for myself. Thanks!

I like this! I love water bottles and this one would be better than mine!

I need to get myself one of these. I take my own water and drinks with me wherever I go... even into restaurants. I haven't found a bottle I like yet.

I'd never heard of these before, but they sound great! I'm always looking for good water bottles for me and the kids, and I share your concern about the straws. I'm going to check this one out!

I believe I saw one similar to this one at Target this weekend. I don't think I would like having a glass water bottle, though.

This is such a great gift idea for the holidays! Thanks for the idea!

I NEED one of these.. I try not to drink from plastic. To me, it just seems the plastic holds onto whatever was previously in the cup or what the dishwasher has thrown at it. A water bottle made of glass is fabulous!

Henrietta said...

I am going to check these glass bottle out. We have a ton of plastic ones but I really do not like drinking out of plastic, love that these are shatterproof!

Rachee said...

I need to check this out. I have a ton of plastic bottles bit they hold all kinds of odd odors and such. This would be a great way to reuse without the extra after taste.

Shatterproof water bottle? That is what I need! With kids who are always dropping things, this is the perfect thing for me!

Looks great for smoothies and amazing that it is shatterproof.

Our kids can take the water bottle to school too and my struggle was finding one with a spout that can be cleaned. i do not want the straw ones or weird ones.
I found two that worked well for us.

Glad to hear about these too!

These bottles have a good look and I like that they are glass instead of plastic. I had a plastic one that had the silicone straws in it that my son was using and I just don't like a reusable straw. I don't trust that they get clean. It got melted by the dishwasher anyway. Thanks for the info on these bottles. I'll look for them when we get ready to buy another water bottle.
