Vimbly & Vegas

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions however, are genuine and my own.

It is no secret that my husband and his parents both l.o.v.e. Las Vegas. I'm sitting around, racking my brain trying to think of the perfect gift to get for all three of them for the upcoming holiday, and Vegas finally came to mind. The idea is sound, and the challenge that lies within is time. My husband's job allows ample time off throughout the year, but it has to be planned in advance, and on a first-come, first-serve basis.  That limits my option for spontaneity, but it doesn't eliminate the idea.

Great Idea. Check.

The next step in the planning of such a trip is finding a good source to help me formulate my plan. Right now, I'm looking at Vimbly. Providing a list of activities to see and do both in and around the area, and allowing me to book directly online from their site allows me to browse and select options to customize the trip in a way that appeals to me.

Offering a very user-friendly site, with a great number of options, I have narrowed my choices, if i plan the trip, down to The Valley of Fire Luxury Tour, which would take them through Native American stomping ground (they are Native American) and/or a Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam day trip.  Both options are affordable, interesting, and have the potential to create life-long memories for my husband and his parents too.

There are many other options available as well, and the site is well worth looking into if you are planning a trip to the Las Vegas area.  There are many things I love about the site, but my most favorite thing is the insight it offers. While I know some of the things offered in and around the city that are commonly enjoyed by many (gambling, shopping, and good food), what I do not know is what gems and attractions are offered outside of the well-knowns. Vimbly offers insight into both (the well known, and the lesser-known), breaks down the activity for you, so you know exactly what you're looking at, and provides the price (reasonable and upfront), so there is not a hidden agenda to have to consider.

The site allows you to do price comparisons at a glance. It also provides excellent parameters for searching. You can select to view activities by date, day of the week, month, time, and/or price.  And you can mix and match them as needed to narrow things down quickly! There is also a category option on the side bar to provide even more thorough assistance.  Whoever designed the site put a lot of thought and effort into making it ideal and effective for anyone using it to help plan activities/events/shows for a trip.

I give the site 5 out of 5 stars, and will definitely be using it, if I decide on Vegas as my holiday gift for hubby and the in-laws. I think it would be so wonderful for them to get away together (how often to you get your grown/married kids to yourself when you're a parent?), and I know it is something they would love.

  1. I got married in Vegas and it was a whirlwind of a trip. I wish that I had more time to enjoy the city, so I guess that means I have to go back.

  13. I have never been and always associate it with the thins I do not enjoy - gambling, shows and night life. I never thought about all the other tourist things to see, maybe one day we will go.

  15. This definitely sounds like a great trip planning site! I would love to do Vegas some day. Jason goes every year for work and is really hoping to make it a trip with just him and I some day. I'd love to do the Grand Canyon helicopter tour. I went to it a long time ago, but it was just driving in. I'd love to see it from above!

  16. Thanks for sharing this site! I've been to Vegas a couple of times, once was when my husband had a meeting there. It is a very interesting place and so much to see and do besides the gambling side of it. I would go back once again and see what I missed the last time I was there. We've seen the Grand Canyon and it is fabulous!

  20. I know you understand that as a parent of married kids. I hope it all comes together if you can make a trip for them to make wonderful memories together.

I love when a travel site is very helpful and make things just a little less frustrating.
