Saturday Night

My favorite way to spend a Saturday night used to be going out with the family somewhere fun. That has not been true for so long now that it feels like a lifetime ago.

Today my favorite way to spend the weekend is snuggled up on the couch with the kids, watching a movie, and sharing some popcorn.    It's so true that it's totally the little things...

So sweet and so true. It takes a little bit of age and wisdom to fully appreciate the small but important things in life . . . like spending quality time with those we love.

Agreed. What I wonder is WHY does it take so long? Seems that should just be a given, but it's not.

Thanks for the visit. :)

This is what I am doing tonight! I am watching a good movie, eating popcorn and sitting in bed all comfy under my blanket. This is the life. I hope you have as much fun as I do!

We do, Karen! It's one of our most favorite things to do.

It doesn't hurt that my kids are some of my most favorite peeps in the whole entire world. ;)

Glad you're cozied up watching a good movie too. Happy rest of the weekend to you. :)

My favorite way to spend ANY night, is just relaxing, at home, knowing all my loved ones are safe. A little snacking, a little TV, a little reading, and a LOT of gratitude! scain54 (at) aol (dot) com

Totally is the little things. We have been out most of the morning and have my niece's birthday party tonight, but so wish I could snuggle on the couch with the girls and Kevin now, too after reading this!! Have a great weekend, Rosey :)

You are so right Rosey. These days I am contented spending time at home watching a favourite television show with my family. Have a great weekend.

Sounds like the way to be, just enjoying time at home without all the hussle and bussle out and about

So true, and if it's snowing that makes the kids happy too (and I don't mind if I'm inside looking at it ;) ).

I am with you all the way on this. Nothing beats snuggles on a cold winter night :)

When the kids events run on the weekend it seems like they never get time to rest. I'm so so so glad there's no commitments going on right this second on the weekends. :)

Great weekend to you too!

That's a new movie too, for my youngest, which makes it even more fun. :) Have a good weekend, Pat.

I would not do well with an empty nest, I don't think. :) Good thing I don't have to worry about it for awhile. ;)

Just put my little monster to bed after we were watching men in black for the gazillion time...I love to cuddle with him and laugh while watching movies....but I have to confess I wouldn't mind going out at night one Saturday night for a change, maybe dance a little and feel young and energetic again...some days it feels like that was ions ago, LOL!!!!..by the way that popcorn looks yummy...Hugs love!

Same here! I love watching Disney movies with my little guy, but really he doesn't have an attention span to watch the whole thing. One day :)

Kenya G. Johnson @ KenyaGJohnson.com said...

It's also sooooo much easier! Saturday night Christopher and I made quesadillas followed by cookies and watch a couple of his shows on Netflix.

I completely agree! Things have certainly changed since the days before I had children. :)
