Mutually Beneficial Gifts for the Holiday Season

I am happy to have a visitor today, Arianna from "Arianna Knows Best."
She wrote the following article, and I cannot help but agree wholeheartedly with #1. A relaxing vacation next to the beach sounds just about perfect to me. :)

I hope you'll give Arianna a warm welcome, and if you get a chance, swing on over to her place to say hello.

Thanks for the article, Arianna!

Mutually Beneficial Gifts For The Holiday Season
This year as you are debating on what to get your husband for the holidays, why not get a gift that both of you can enjoy? These gifts can be extravagant or practical, but will certainly be remembered and appreciated. These five ideas will help you find the perfect gift that any couple can enjoy!

1.Relax on a Miami Vacation
Instead of the traditional way of celebrating at home by the Christmas tree, why not consider celebrating the holiday sprawled out on a beach? Surprise your husband with a trip to a sunny locale this year! You can escape the cold weather and enjoy some relaxing time with your husband on the sand, surrounded by palm trees. Consider taking a trip to tropical Miami or to a somewhere a little more exotic like Cancun. Who knows, maybe this surprise vacation will lead to a family tradition of vacationing in a warm locale each year!

2. Guy Time at the Batting Cages
While you are racking your brain trying to figure out the perfect gift for your husband, try to come up with some new and enjoyable experiences he can have with his friends. Buy your husband a gift card to a batting cage, go-karts, or mini golf. He can get some quality time with the boys while you can enjoy some alone time at the house!

3.Join The Country Club
If your husband likes to golf, consider joining your local country club. This gift lasts all year and he can golf and socialize as much as he likes. In the mean time, you can enjoy brunch, the private gym, and (in some cases) the spa with your friends at the club. If a country club isn’t available in your area or out of your price range, consider joining one of the new “super” gyms that are popping up all over. From group classes to rock climbing, staying active has never looked so good!

4. Splurge With a Helicopter Tour
If you are looking for a truly extravagant gift for your husband, book a helicopter tour for two. Make a day of exploring your city from a new angle and end it with a romantic dinner at your favorite restaurant. Ask the pilot to fly over areas that are special to you and your husband, such as where you first met and the church you were married. You and your husband will have a hard time forgetting this memorable tour.

5. Organizers Are Always a Great Gift
Some guys may not always be the most organized, and often their desks or dressers become cluttered with items from their day. Spare change, misplaced cufflinks and random receipts are often found on in a mound on end tables or dressers. A great gift for your guy that will help your house look cleaner is an organizer. There are many types of organizers that are attractive and help keep the clutter contained. From a book shape to a simple, attractive box for your dresser , staying organized has never been more stylish!
With these gift ideas, you are sure to find something that will fit into your budget this holiday season. Whether you take a trip down memory lane in a helicopter, relax at the country club, or venture to a sunny destination, you and your husband are sure find a gift to love this holiday season!

I've been trying to drag Chris on a helicopter tour since I met him, but no luck so far. I have always wanted to do one, but he wants no part of it. Odd because he was in the Air Force for 20 years.

Usually we plan a vacation as our gift to each other. This year there will be none of that. My Hubs will be having knee surgery in January and it will be a long healing time. Next fall, we are headed out to Montana to visit Manzanita.

I like the way Arianna is thinking. I would definitely enjoy a vacation in a warmer climate this winter! We might just buy each other some cross country skis, which is a something we can both do together and stay (relatively) fit in the process.

Hi Rosey and Arianna,
All great tips. Along the lines of the batting cages, they can also do the gun range, if they're into that. Thanks for sharing.

Sincerely,
Karina

I would love organizers for Christmas, I am trying to get my office completely set up and need them. Of course the batting cages would be more fun.

mail4rosey said...

Thanks Liz, for the visit. :)

mail4rosey said...

Thanks for another idea. :)

mail4rosey said...

Practical versus fun... practical usually wins for me, but during the holidays/as a gift, it'd be the fun one. :)

Not sure we have any around here, or if they'd even be open, but I do like the idea. :)

mail4rosey said...
